BotCon Update: Iacon Registrations Coming Soon

For those who aren't planning to attend BotCon this year, but want the Boxed Set anyway, the Iacon Package is right up your alley. Registration for this non-attending package has been delayed while the online registration system dealt with attending registrations. Today, Brian Savage sent out an update to Club Members, letting everyone know that they are now finishing up preparations for the online non-attending registration, with plans to have it online early next week.

Brian Savage wrote:Hello all! I know some of you are patiently waiting on the Non-Attending registration to be released. There are still a couple of issues we are cleaning up with the registration site and we are now planning to wait until early next week to post the Iacon registrations.

Have a great holiday weekend and I'll send out an update next Tuesday.

Thanks for your support!

Brian

Sometimes I think Brian S. plays a secret game just to see how many times he can tell us "soon" in a single year.

Well at least I won't half to refresh my email every 5 minutes this weekend... Tuesday though, that's another story.

How does registering for Iacon work and does anybody know how much it costs?

As I live in the UK I can't afford to get over for Botcon but am still interested in the Box set, is it just posted out to you?

Cheers

I think they ship them out after the con is over with..I know last years box set shipped out a week or so later so it kind of depends on your location..Being in the Uk I wouldn't say that you'll get it real fast but I'm pretty sure they ship them out soon after the con is over...

Iacon Packages are usually slightly cheaper than Primus Packages, but more expensive than anything else. I am guessing about $250.00 USD, plus shipping.

The Iacon package has never been cheaper than the Primus package. Both are the same price: $305 ($375 for non-members.) The difference in what you get in the price is that the Iacon package is shipped, but no attendee figure. The Primus package must be picked up at the show, but you get the attendee TF premium figure, and convention admittance/benefits. :)

International shipping for the Iacon package is extra, but I'm not 100% since I've never had to order it for international ;)

Many thanks for that correction. I also added the info to the "Packages" section of the BotCon Guide.
