I want to show off my Bumblebee tattoo since I don't know if many people have really got a tattoo of bumblebee.

But here's mine!

Gas masks and tattoos; Can't go wrong.

I'm a fan of Bumblebee, it's my favourite TF character, but I must confess that G1 BB is the one for me and I'm ambivalent towards the Bayverse BB.

I love the G1 BB but I don't know there was something about this concept I loved. I'm just really not fond of the new movies all that much. But he looks so awesome as the camaro vs. Beetle.

Personally, my favorite BB is from animated.

I love the design from the movies(camaro, door "wings", and his mask), I just wish he had more personality than just Sam's babysitter. I would have liked to seen him with a real voice. His radio chatter, whistles and whines had me mixing him up with another yellow robot: WALL-E.

On a side note, WALL-E is one of my favorite movies ever lol.

I heard his voice is fixed for T3? But I'm not sure if that is just a rumour? (Voice by Mark Ryan?)

I would love that to be true.

I never looked into this but what, if any, reason was given for BB reverting to radio chatter/sound effects for vocal communication in RotF? I thought the voice problem was resolved at the end of the first movie...

As a young kid Bumblebee was my favorite character. But as a collector and adult. I don't really care much for him.

Partially because I hate the color yellow on a car. I don't hate the color, just when it's on a car. I would drive a neon pink car with purple poka-dots before a yellow one.

The other reason i suppose it when I went through the G1 series again as a adult, I found BB to be whiny. Though as far as I know I'm the only person I've ever met who thinks he's whiny...

Mikaela asked Sam at the beginning if BB was still having voice problems and Sam said he was but he was hamming it up. So I think he can talk with some difficulty, so it's easier for him to use the radio.

I like BB from the G1 cartoon and I liked him a lot from the new movies. But, jeez, is he overplayed. I understand that they are using him as the character for kids to identify with, but its just too much.

I certainly like his Movie incarnation better than the G1. I also like the animated version better than G1.

I've been trying to think of why...so far the only thing I can think of is that in the movie and animated, his lines and antics are funny. But in G1 he's just not.

BB wasn't supposed to be funny in G1. He was the "cute" character the kids could relate to. You know, the "buddy" to the human kid. Which is probably why those of us that were kids when the G1 cartoon was on have fond memories of BB.

I like the movie version of him as Sam's gaurdian on Earth I think it is a nice way to reference BB's job in the G1 cartoon- partnering him with the human.

Of all of the renditions of BB We've gotten, I think I like the Animated version the least. He was supposed to be the young rebel of the group, but he just came off as annoying.

I always hated G1 Bumblebee and Optimus. In defence of the much maligned Mr. Bay, he actually made them both cool. Such a shame he couldn't do the same with Ironhide, Jetfire and the Twins. Pity cos I love G1 Ironhide.

I love Movie BB and loved the radio speech in TF1. He's one of the few good things about ROTF.

I'm not sure that the movie bumblebee is one of my favs..I dunno why. I prefer the old bumblebee from g1.

It must of cost a lot to get that tattoo though. =o

Bumblebee is awesome, but not so awesome as to give him as much center ring attention as they've been doing. Don't get me wrong, I like Bumblebee. Next to Prime, he's the man...er, bot. But I really like what Hasbro did with G1. They gave all the characters some center stage screen time and allowed the audience to decide who was interestintg and who wasn't. Yea, I know, they did it to sell toys but thats besides the point. They are not doing that with the live action movies. They are giving center stage to the characters that they think are interesting and taking that decision out of the hands of the audience. If the sidelined characters sold it would be more because collectors want to have the complete run of toys from a given genre. There are many live action figures I bought because I wanted to complete the set, not because I liked their personality, or was even remotely familiar with them at all.

Not the biggest fan of Bumblebee as a character, though. I'm more of a Decepticon guy in general. I've made up my mind to eventually get a Ratbat tattoo, and I'm thinking of possibly getting a G2 Decepticon insignia on my chest.
