ROTF value question. Need opinions.

Hi everyone. I've collected 2 of nearly every ROTF fallen figure, opening one box to enjoy, and keeping the other to collect. My question is, will these toys be worth anything in, say, 25-30 years like the G1's, or am I wasting my time hanging onto the MISB versions? Thx for your input. Awesome site, btw.

Good question. Why you want to keep it - for profit or collecting? I have been buying and opening these figures mostly for my son (who loves them), and stashing away a few MISB (for me) - some to preserve because I like the figures, and some to sell a few decades from now. But it's getting expensive so I am going to pick and choose a bit more now.

My guess is that you are not wasting your time. Transformers have been a hit for 26 years now and the movies are adding new fanatics to preserve the demand for these figures in the future. My 2 cents.

They're worth at least $25. I saw one go for $50 and leader jetfire is only $10 more. I wish I had saved one in a box. I still have one, but the box is open. Oh well, I still have that purpley blue The Fallen with a removable mask and staff to look forward to!

its possible that some of the ROTF figures will become valuable in the furture. maybe not all but some of them. I have a fair amount of the ROTF figures myself and to be honest i havent worryed about leaving them in the boxes. I collect them to enjoy them and im not to concerned about the selling price decades down the track. But if your buy 2 of each figure sure the boxed ones would fetch a higher price... by how much though is up int he air.
