A WFC Movie....thoughts?

Who would love to see a cg-animated WFC Movie? Basically, the exact same look and design of the game and it's cinematic/ trailer scenes, but spiced up even more for film quality. Or, even the movie being filmed in 3D, (real 3D).
Make it a trilogy, and have the script written by Simon Furman. Director-wise, I'm thinking someone from the Beast Wars series.
A big theatrical release would be sweet, but I think even a direct-to-dvd release would work as well

I'd be all-over this, either way, since as a fan, this was the part of TF lore that I'd always wanted to see much more of. Thoughts anyone?

Ehh, maybe not a movie. How about a TV series?

As long as it's centered on the bots and not some human, and Micheal Bay has no part in it's production or scriptwriting.

I've always wondered why they haven't explored this avenue more. Maybe things will change with the advent of the "Hub".

Hopefully, yes!
I'd certainly be open to a tv series as well. In fact, I was hoping that the WFC era years were going to be the focus of TF: Prime. Shows with Earth as the main milieu and human sidekicks are pretty redundant now, and I think it's high time to start delving into the backstory of the TFs. There's so much potential, so many possibilities to explore on Cybertron still.

Yes, this idea would definitely see no Bay involvement whatsoever, no involvement of Orci and Kurtzman at all, and no human characters. Total Robot adventure and action, and drama.

Well, if it follows the Game and the Book, most people will be entirely unsatisfied by the ending.

I wasn't... because we already knew the ending in advance, for like 26 years we knew the ending and people still complained about it.

I don't understand what everyone else was expecting about the ending. I mean what? They wanted Prime to kill Megatron before they reached the earth? I mean for crying out loud, you killed Trypticon at the end. That's like watching Star Wars A New Hope and getting upset that Vader got away, but never mind the Deathstar blowing up...

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

I wouldn't mind the people behind the Animated Avengers movies or even the Alien Force series being involved.

I think straight to DVD movies would be great for the franchise they could have a straight to DVD continuation of Animated but aWFC should be a theatrical release they could use Avatar style CGI even though Avatar was way too overrated

Isn't Transformers: Prime supposed to have a tie-in with War for Cybertron?

No, actually it doesn't. WFC closer to G1 than Prime.

I still think that he should invest in being a part of a special effects crew rather than scriptwriting or production.

Amen to that, friend. Future TF movies would be so much better for it without his "improv" tendencies.

I think that would be an awesome idea! I mean not just exploring into what we already saw but also before that point to. Like maybe seeing more of the high council or something. It would be interesting to find out that sort of information more in detail. They could also continue to the story to into what the war within had with the fallen. I figure that if they are basing it off the war within from the game anyway then that would what the second one would be about. =o

I don't understand why they didn't just do that in the first place right after the game was released or something. o.O Hasbro is kinda...odd.. XD
