My little sister and I used to watch Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and Popeye. I also watched He-man And The Masters of Universe, which wasn't exactly a girly show anyway (but I enjoyed it!) Superfriends, too! That was back in the early 1980s, BTW.
How about you?

He-Man & Thundercats were my other childhood favourites. 80s cartoons were so much better.

The Smurfs. Ah, thank you, FCC for lifting the restrictions on commercials disguised as television shows in 1982. You've truly made our world a better place.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, VR Troopers, Beetleborgs. I'm a 90's kid, & BW wasnt on yet before Power Rangers, & I had no knowledge of the old G1 series.

Well, I'll just post the ones I LIKED to watch, as everything's been seen.
-Starblazers (Yamato)
-Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman)
-Speed Racer
-Marine Boy
-Thundercats
-Galaxy Rangers (no, not Power Rangers related!!!)
-Mighty Orbots
-Tranzor Z (Mazinger)
Thundercats, though not containing robots or ninja, definitely had a "continuity" at times, to say nothing of decent writing.

He-Man. In fact, before it got carried in our area, we used to rent discs of the series. I can't remember if that was the actual name of the format, but maybe some Seibertroners will know what I'm talking about. These things came in a plastic sleeve about the size of a full size record sleeve, and you'd push one end into the player, and the disc would slide out and play the show. And then came video tapes, and those things went bye-bye.
G.I. Joe was pretty big, too... and I really can't remember too much else. I can remember a lot of the stuff that came AFTER, like MASK and Centurions and even more obscure stuff, like Sectaurs. And I recall an animated commercial for Starriors made us think we were getting a show. =p

I was born in 1979, and these were the cartoons that I remembered watching when I was a little young 'un. In the 80's were Transformers (my favorite), GI Joe, Thundercats, MASK, Centurions, Jayce And The Wheeled Warriors, Dino Riders, Dinosaucers, Spiral Zone, The Real Ghostbusters, Tigersharks, He-Man, Voltron, Bionic Six, Silverhawks, Captain Harlock, Gobots, Robotech, Fantastic Max, Danger Mouse, Sky Commanders, and Looney Tunes. In the early 90's were Batman (my favorite), TMNT, Disney Afternoon, Garfield And Friends, Toxic Crusaders, Heathcliff, Inspector Gadget, Turbo Teen, Exo-Squad, Dennis The Menace, Bobby's World, The Pirates Of Dark Water, Captain Planet, Tiny Toon Adventures, Beetlejuice, and X-Men.
There may be some that I might have missed, but you guys know what I'm talking about! Nostalgia-five!!!

SUPERFREINDS!!!
Spiderman,
Spiderman
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web any size
Catches thieves
just like flies
Look out,
here comes the Spiderman
Is he strong?
Listen Bud
He's got radioactive blood
Can he swing from a thread ?
Take a look overhead
Hey, there!
There goes the Spiderman
In the chill of the night
At the scene of a crime
Like a streak of light
He arrives just in time
Spiderman,
Spiderman
Friendly neighborhood,
Spiderman
Wealth and fame,
he ignores
Action is his reward
Look out,
here comes the Spiderman
To him,
life's a great big bang up
Whenever there's a hang up
You'll find the Spiderman!
AND the Harlem Globetrotters
