How many Seekers are there?

Well.. I'm just getting use to the whole seeker term. I'm guessing it's just the name for the Decepticon plane type Transformers

So I know there's definetly.

-Starscream
-Thundercracker
-Skywarp
-Sunstorm

Is Blitzwing a seeker? Are there any more?

Starscream - Clone: Sunstorm
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Ramjet
Thrust
Dirge

It's hinted in the cartoon that there are a lot of seeker types, and in War Within, the seekers were mass produced grunts for Megatron

Thanks! What do you mean by Sunstorm being a clone of Starscream?

Shockwave made a clone of Starscream during the time the Autobots & Decepticons came back to Cybertron in War & Peace. There were actually more than just Starscream if I remember correctly. Sunstorm just happened to activate one day & decided to be a loose cannon w/his own agenda.

In his toy bio he wasn't a clone though. I prefered the way he was in his bio to how he was implemented in the comic, he could have been so much better.

I use a combonation of comic and bio for Sunstorm if I use him. There are also a number of unnamed generic types too.

Original seekers:

Starscream

Thundercracker

Skywarp (Slightly different mold)

Cone heads:

Thrust

Ramjet

Dirge (I allways have trouble remembering this one. I think it's because the name isn't in use anymore.)

Other: Sunstorm (who is nothing more than a miscolor of Starscream from what I can tell)

Cyclonus and Scourge (At least one of them was upgraded from either Skywarp or Thundercracker so they still count.)

Allso if you look through the database on this site they actully list all the seekers for you. I just thought I'd make this list off memory before I looked it up and posted this link. Seekers

Yes, you arecorrect that the 'con plane types are the seekers. This does not incluse Astrotrain/Blitzwing. Those are Triple changers.

Hey, Saber Prime, could you edit your post with this link, so it doesn't stretch the page so much?

That's not really true though is it? Sure the colour was chosen because of what may have been a miscoloured Starscream (I have yet to see anything that disproves that they were meant to be generic seekers and its the previous panel where they resembled the named ones thats miscoloured) but the guy has a toy, bio and comic appearance, hes a real character with his ownpersonality now like it or not.

Except Sunstorm wasn't given any of that until 2003, 19 years after the color accident that created him.

I'm not disputing that that's his origin, I'm saying that describeing him as just a Starscream miscolour is not really adequate, as there is more to the character than that. It's like saying that Skywarp and Thundercracker are repainted Starscreams, it's true, but it doesn't really reflect who they are.

Reading through all the links, it seems that there are around at least 8 (9?) major Seeker characters, and a whole lot more numerable and unnamed ones. I didn't know there where so many!

I also hear that sunstorm was a simply color mess up but i think that after so many people asked who he was and such they decided to make him starscreams radioactive twin /clone thing.

Actually i think the story behind Sunstorm was that he did appear in the tv show once, and then when Hasbro released Starscream, e-hobby made an exclusive repaint of Sunstorm, and there you have it, another named Seeker.

You know not alot of people realize this unless they actully have or at least seen the toys buy Skywarp is actully a remold. He has added details on the wings that the other seekers don't have.

This is more apperent on the Armada versions but G1 was done that way too.

I just checked my original G1 Skywarp to Original G1 Starscream and there are no differences that I can see. They are absolutely identical.

The one thing I noticed is that a lot of F-15 Seekers seem to have red lines on their wings, and Skywarp is one of the few who doesn't. But its one of the few differances, I think.

I always thought that Seekers were a much larger bunch than just the ones protrayed in the cartoon and comic. Even with Sunstorm, who sort of doesn't count as a Seeker I think, 7 members of a feared, elite unit seems small. I know there's only like 6 Wreckers, but the Seekers always struck me as being multiples.

There are many Seekers actually, but most are anonomous(sp) and nameless and make only a single appearance.

does Ferak count as a seeker?
