Hey gang...thought we could have some fun with this. A while back, over in the Live Action Films Forum, people were debating that there's no such thing as a "True" Fan and if there is...what makes one.

So how about what DOESN'T make you one? And like Foxworthy's "You Might Be a Redneck" routine...I think this could be a LOT of fun! Here's a few to get everyone started and you all can take it from here:

You might not be a True Transformers Fan...if...

You hear Arcee and think that it's just a soda.

Energon is something you get after you consume a 5-hour energy drink.

Snarl is what you only know and say your pitt-bull does to you when you don't feed him.

...you think "Blurr" is a video game.
...you think "G1" is probably the name of some Pontiac model.
...you say TRANS-for-mer instead of Trans-FOR-mer (like my father).
...you think "the Fallen" are a bunch of defeated adversaries.

Holy Energon Cube Soundwave! I had no idea this would take off this fast and be sssooooo funny! I love the Megatron as a special edition Tron DVD (Forward 2.0) - classic! So I wanted to be sure I got the rest of mine in here, before someone else takes them! So, without further adieu:

You might NOT be a True Transformers Fan...if...

You think Demolisher is a strong mixed drink and Blackout is what happens after you drink it!

Defensor is just a name to you of the security system that you installed in your car

You use an Airazor to shave

and...wait for it...

No, there is no debate. Read the thread, very carefully. We aren't debating anything, we're criticizing you and your absurd belief that there is such a thing as a "true fan." Joking around about people who know nothing about Transformers is one thing, but in that other thread you were basically claiming that because they didn't share your opinion, they aren't actually fans of Transformers.

On topic:

You think Go-bots is a sub-group of Transformers. (Since Hasbro bought Go-bots it's technically true, but you know what I mean)

You were shocked when you saw that Bumblebee could speak in War for Cybertron. (That one was my dad)

You haven't grasped that Beast Wars is a Transformers series too. (The full title is Beast Wars: Transformers, but no one really uses it)

Better version of the above: You think the Matrix of Leadership contains a virtual reality where acknowledging that it's fake let's you have awesome kung fu fight scenes.

Ooh, yeah. They gave special focus to Metallikato in Animated. Maybe a whole series focusing on it. Maybe some Bushido in there as well. This would work perfectly as an anime. Come on, Japan. You already dropped the ball with the Unicron Trilogy, time to get some credibility back.

Sorry everyone about Shadowman - he's obviously my Megatron!?! And the paragraph below is for him:

1. A true fan respects their passion and then tries to remain "true" to what they love. That goes with anything.
Now please...post your own forum about all of this somewhere else and let other forum members have some fun here...and why not try some for yourself? Who knows, you just might like it?

So it'd be a Transformers version of G-Gundam? I'm in, as long as we get to see some form of car-fu, where they keep fighting in their altmodes somehow.

No, not like G Gundam. Not Like G Gundam AT ALL. I mean they just exhibit philosophies of martial arts and Bushido and the like. It's still Autobots vs. Decepticons, they just prefer different weapons. Think Avatar: The Last Airbender, but with giant robots.
