List your 5 favorite character names!

1. Starscream
IMO one of the coolest sounding names ever.
2. Sideswipe
Perfect name for an autobot.
3. Astrotrain
This sounds powerful & perfect for an alien robot.
4. Blitzwing
The name describes this Triple Changer perfectly.
5. Laserbeak
The 5th spot was the hardest choice… but Laserbeak won as coolest.

Do you guys think this could be something we could expand into a weekly activity?

I love the names for Optimus Prime and Omega Supreme as they are fitting names for the characters. Optimus Prime practically describing him as the "best first" for his leadership position. Then Omega Supreme being the "last highest rank" for his role as the Autobot's last defense.

I'm also partial to Megatron, Starscream, and Grimlock.

That makes good sense about those 2 names.
I thought 'Optimus Prime' always sounded redundant, but now that you put it that way… it makes perfect sense. (:

I always thought Shockwave & Thundercracker were really cool names, as well as Grimlock.

Some of you guys have already mentioned a couple of good names, so I'll try to add a few more.

It was kinda hard for me to choose only five names. So if I may, I'd like to include the following: Ratbat, Hellbat, Liokaiser, Galvatron, Fireflight, Sinnertwin, Cindersaur, Flamefeather, and Sparkstalker.

Dang! most of them do have cool names

Not on a basis of 1-5, but my personal faves:
Railspike; Nice industrial name, can be applied to any train TF with ease
Roadbuster; Good for offroaders and badass bots.
Broadside; Can be applied to anything BIG, and also doesn't have a distinct personality to it. He's big, that's all.
Steamhammer; a good choice for a character who takes the form of older industrial equipment. Sounds cantankerous without being silly/stupid.
Blackout; good for brutes with EMPs or backstabbers, this name contains power and mystery.

Grimlock
Skywarp
Ratchet
Predaking
Galvatron - especially with the G1 design (cartoon/comic, not the toy!!!) and the colour scheme.

On the negative list:
Starscream - sounds like a fembot. Really.
Bumblebee - just barely more threatening than "Fly".

I really considered '10 Best', but I thought I better keep it to 5 so it wouldn't take as long to think.

What do you have in mind?

Well, I was trying to come up with a few more things the past couple days but originally I thought things like: names, paint schemes, weapons, best robot and/or non-robot form, voices… just kind of the basic things associated with Transformers.

I was gonna ask for suggestions also if people wanted to continue to do it. And it could really be from any cartoon/movie/comic.
Maybe it could be monthly, since I don't think enough people will see it if we do it weekly.

Oh & we could even do mottos.

Shockwave, Smokescreen, Optimus Prime, Tomahawk, Grindcore.

Grimlock
Slag
Snarl
Sludge
Swoop

Seriously, i think these are the best names. I could see using these names in real life. Nice and short. Only Grimlock has two syllables.

Most TF names are just a little too unnatural.

The Dinobot names are the best.

From all the continuities, that's 100s of names. Tough choice, as there are a lot of cool sounding names.

In no particular order:

So far it looks like Skywarp and Grimlock are the top 2, with Starscream probably in 3rd.
We might have a 'best of the best' battle on our hands!

Also, I should have included it, but at least I can give honorable mention to Metrotitan.
