BBTS Question

I have some TFs on preorder, and I'm waiting for them to come in before I ship out Masterpiece Rodimus. I went to check on said preorders, and I noticed something odd...

All of the other items have the button, but that one at the bottom says processing, which has never happened before. Does that mean the item is in stock and they're getting ready to put it into the POL?

I guess and that is what this is a GUESS (I have never dealt with BBTS in a pre-order situation), it could mean that the order is at the start process of being shipped. Basically I think it means: "we got the item and now we're waiting for the funds to clear" or vice versa (i.e. "we've got the funds now we have to find the item(s) in our warehouse") if it's not a pre-order.

I dealt with this when I ordered the City Commander figure. It means that they are getting everything sorted out and you'll be able to have your stuff shipped.

It fancy jargon meaning that they are sorting their last shipment of toys.

Hmm, I have 3 preorders with them right now. At least I'll know what to expect IF my WFC United Prime ever arrives from Tak. But I gotta wait all the way to March to have my POL ship because of MP-Prime.

I don't understand BBTS.

They have Kup & Scourge currently in stock by the case, in sets of 4 with Cliffjumper & Skullgrin, and they have a rather large number of them, really. On top of preorders coming in.

I have Kup & Scourge currently on preorder, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has 'em on preorder.

I can't figure out why they don't just sell the damn figures.

If they don't get their act together, I may just cancel my entire order and go elsewhere.

This is getting ridiculous.

It's because in order to get certain figures that will sell out almost immediately they have to order stock that won't move as fast.

By selling them in sets they know that some people will buy the full package rather than just a couple pieces ensuring they don't have to liquidate as many shelf fillers as your local TRU or Target type retail stores.

Many smaller comic and specialty store do the same thing.

Oh, I get that, believe me, I do, but considering the fact that the current stock is not selling anyways, why not make a quick buck on a sure thing?

Because in the long run it does work for them. People will after waiting and seeing it their better option will break down and buy the packs. BBTS is in the game for the long haul (so to say) I'm sure they have formulas for figuring out what should be singles or sets, and what needs to happen to change things.

Plus that way it they do feel the need to liquidate at a much later point, if they jack up the price on the popular ones it will offset the clearance price for the shelf warmers.
