I was just thinking of starting a thread like this.

The Bagger 288 bucket-wheel excavator. 721 feet long, 315 feet high, and can travel at the break-neck speed of 33 feet per minute.

Also this Track Trencher. Come on, gigantic chainsaw weapon. Who WOULDN'T want that?

From the fiction side of things, any vehicle from Halo. I think I even had a list of who would Transform into what, Autobots used UNSC vehicles, Decepticons transformed into Covenant vehicles.

That's funny. I was thinking of a Warthog Transformer myself.

I had an idea for the Combaticons as roughly proportionately scaled German WWII vehicles

Onslaught: SdKfz 164 Nashorn (big tank, 24 Tons)

Brawl: SdKfz 124 Wespe (small tank, 11 Tons)

Swindle: ADGZ (APC, 12 Tons, there was no Jeep-style vehicle the same size as any tank)

Vortex: Junkers Ju 86 (plane, 10 Tons, helicopters were not widely used in WWII)

Blast Off: Blohm & Voss BV 144 (bomber, 10 Tons, a spaceship would be ridiculous with WWII vehicles)

As a Mining Engineer, I couldn't agree more..!
I've been always thinking that mining and excavation machinery would make some great alt modes for TF. Apart from the bucket-wheel excavator (wasn't Cybertron Metroplex a cybertronian or something bucket-wheel excavator?) and the track trencher, I would like to suggest a Road Header (I could easily imagine Megatron transforming into one), a "Jumbo" drilling machine, an underground dump truck and-why not?-a TBM(Tunnel Boring Machine). What do you say?

I also want a Transformer that turns into a DeLorean, and Transformers based on the vehicles from the Star Fox games would be awesome.

They kinda did already, Micromaster Swindler. Would be nice in a bigger pricepoint though.

I had known about Swindler, but I don't collect G1 figures or figures at such small sizes.

That one has actually been used a few times already.

I think the Space marine Landspeeder (A futuristic model from Games Workshop- I don't know how to upload images) would be interesting for Hound.

Just about any vehicle mode could be cool if executed properly. It' all depends on design.
