I was watching Transformers Prime the other day and I saw something that I should be used to by now. It was the episode with Skyquake just like all the other times, SQ looked the same way he did before he scanned the jet. Shouldnt his robot form changed just a little, all the previous TF cartoons did the same thing G1 did it in the first episode, Beast Wars did the same thing and the same with Cybertron. At least Animated did a good job with the different Earth and Cybertron modes

Actually, some earlier shows did have different Cybertronian robot modes. Beast Wars Megatron's was shown in the first episode, albeit in the shadow. And Armada's Cybertron Modes were in full view in the first episode as well. Optimus Prime even had windows there!
While I do agree it's a bit baffling, you have to think about it design-wise. Those Cybertronian forms would only be featured in one episode at the most, would the cost of making a brand new model justify its appearance?

The production team got lazy.

It's a cost-cutting measure. With Prime being CGI, making new character models for each and every new member of the cast would get expensive.

Pretty much.
Really, the CGI models are a lot of work, so you can't blame them really.
The only continuities I can think of that actually had Cybertronian to Earth modes were Animated and the 2007 movie.
