Best Way to Imitate G1 Soundwave's Voice?

In my computer class, we're doing individual video projects about any topic we want. I was going to make a commercial hosted by Soundwave. I have a WFC Soundwave ready to go, but I'm not sure how to make his voice happen. Is there a good program to use that works with Macintosh?

Use a vocoder, or check this guy's little tutorial:
