im moving for the first time and all of my transformers are going with me. most will be packed away but i am keeping my classics TFs out cus i will be adding to them. its painful to pack em up! i know alot of you have packed away your TFs. and to keep them from breaking im wrapping each TF in bubble wrap. how do you guys keep your TFs safe while packed away?

When I moved a couple years bak, I put each one into the "safest" mode for transport, based on how much space thay take up or that will protect bits better. mostly this means having the cars and such in alt mode.

One that is decided, I then wrap them up, usually in bubble wrap with newspaper to fill holes so they didn't move too much.

Worked for me without any problems.

Also if you wanna be extra careful lable them fragile.

You could also put "baby pics" or "wedding album" on the box so it doesn't get lost

I bought a bunch of ammo boxes from the army surplus store. You know the ones that are water proof rust proof, reinforced and lockable. Good for transporting but are on the heavy side but stack nicely and take up little realestate in the back of a car.

They're cheap enough (around 10 bucks plus)and look really cool. I used to use rubbermaid lame ass tote containers but they suck and are an eye sore.

I wrap mine in newspaper and put em in those. They just look better and give me a better sense of security and are very compact and hold a LOT of TF's. Depending on what shape you buy they all seem to hold 20 to 30 deluxe size figures.

i too put them in their alt modes which has taken me a few days to do XD the really expensive ones are put in their own container and each one in alt mode and bubble wrapped. and i will have to look into those ammo boxes but it just kills me to pack them up you know?

Last time I moved, I also found the safest made to transport them in, but I laid them between layers of towels in boxes. Made the trip without a problem.

did any of you have to leave some in storage? i have to leave the majority in storage, im leaving out my classics when i get to my new place because that part of the collection is constantly growing. but as for the others the lines are dead and im not adding to them any time soon.
