What purpose do female autobots serve beside looking good and sexy and stupid or for the boy autobots' pleasure? They are robots so they can't reproduce and they can't really fight not like the girl decepticons who can deceive their enemies instead of being mindless toys?

I think you pretty much summed it up. Females are nothing but eye candy...in the autobot world at least.

Because they were Transformers BUT also female! Which meant I could go beyond liking them, if you catch my drift. Arcee was one of my first crushes.

Gender/Sex makes no sense in the Transformers world. Consider the fact that Transformers' bodies are capable of great transformation and modification. It seems they can become anything! With that sort of life, I would imagine that identity would not be based on their physical frames. Humans define themselves and others based on physical signifiers, but for Transformers that concept would be irrelevant because one’s physical existence is always transitory and fluid. I mean, how many times did the Maximals change their bodies in Beastwars?

Female Transformers seems to suggest, however, that male and female identities and personality traits are somehow essentially and universally distinct, which I actually think is a dangerous message, but that is beside the point.

There’s a lot of interesting stuff about identity and bodies when you think about the Transformers. What must it be like to live as Frenzy or Rumble, who in essence live inside Soundwave. How do they define themselves as separate from Soundwave? Is he a perpetually mother-type figure (they are born from him and return to the womb) or is it more of a symbiotic relationship? And what about the Constructicons? When they join to form Devastator, is devastator a new personality or a collective culmination of all their minds or both?

Given the way Transformers live, and given the way the shows humanize them to make them relatable, their existence certainly wouldn’t be very human at all. Very alien.

I take to the theory of the TFs being forced into gender mimicry by the Quintessons when the Quints ruled Cybertron millions of years back (depending on the continuity) - sort of like in SW where droids are designed or modified according to they specific function they are supposed to serve. This could have explained why in the DW G1 timeline, feminine TFs appeared to be the only ones outside of Sharkticons on Quintessa.

Only trouble is, no one who's written a TF story has portrayed feminine TFs as "functional" characters. Arcee's Tech Specs always portray her as being a deadly warrior dedicated to blasting 'Cons into ashes, yet none of the cartoons or comics she's been in have made any attempt to stick to Hasbro's bios.

Yes, I like 'female' Transformers. AND metal beards. There, I said it. :-P

The female autobots really did hold their own in "The Search for Alpha Trion", so I don't know why you are saying they can't fight.

Here is a question: Why is it that the Starscream fangirls don't think they have to explain what their fixation to Starscream is about, but, when there are female robots, us men are all judged to be perverts by some of the women within the TF fandom?

The reason why there are female TFs is because there are male TFs. I understand the point you are trying to make about how they don't reproduce like we do, but if we were to truly boil this conversation down to the real basis, then it would be that maybe they shouldn't have had either gender predominantly at all, but there in lies the problem since that would have been confusing and boring to humans to watch on a tv show. Generic robots with no gender.

Well said. That just basically answered every question having to do with female TFs ever.

Everyone needs a companion, the autobots could probably fall in love, as for them not being able to reproduce there are lots of human couples who can't reproduce but they CAN adopt. I'm sure there are lots of transformer couples out there, after all whether you're made of metal and oil or just flesh and blood, you still need that special someone that completes you. As for thinking the fem bots were hot......eh no, I'll stick to the real types of females. Those metal chest plates and hot pink visors may be your thing, but I'd much rather have me a nice human girl that I can hold in my arms while watching the sun set.

Why does there have to be a reason? Can't they be genderless robots, some of whom just happen to have bodies that resemble human females?

The difference in appearance between genders is so girl transformers don't get mistaken for boy transformers, and vice versa. I don't know about any of you, but I just *HATE* getting mistaken for a man!!!!!!!!

And maybe the existence of genders among them is an easy way of telling who's compatible with who in terms of making babies.

You know there's a female Transformer social worker somewhere on Cybertron. She needs to take Wheelie away from the Autobots and help him with his severe mental problems.

That's what I was thinking too. Like I guess there being female Seekers, female tank Tfs, etc.

Yeah I sort of don't get crushes on cartoon characters. But girls do have unique specialty's in things (not that type of specialty you dirty minds).

But TFs don't make babies, they just build a body then go get a spark from Vector Sigma or the matrix. Some fans may have a romantic notion of 2 TFs in love merging sparks or something like that but it's just a creation of fan fic and not real cannon.

Welcome.

Warning: Seibertron contains Nuts!

As far as Wallpapers go, I don't think there is an individual place for them, but if you click on Cartoons or Comics on the top it will take you to that area where you can find an immense amount of images that you can download and use as your wallpaper.

Most has been said. There's times where lady warriors are more
vicious than the guys. Seen in real life as in tournaments, and then had to challenge them. When guys have it out, there's a certain limit,it ends or another day.

A mother defending her kid,and dads not around. Recall way back when, comics are fairly new. The cartoon series..,black archania, arcee, could see if they're capabilties were expanded..
multo damage points.Chromia?with that nasty little broad sword,
maybe with some meduim arms..mech carnage. A lot of respect for
the ladies. If I wasn't careful...I'd be on the mat.

Your transmission is breaking up. I got the first paragraph, but then it started to get confusing.
