Ok, so last year, I got rid of alot my TF figs thinking I was done with the fandom. But now I'm back into it and I've been feeling regret here and there for getting rid of most of my collection. I had close to 400+ and I'm down to maybe 50+. What I wanted to know was, is there any other fans who had to get rid of figs for whatever reason and then later on regreted it?

I have specifically gone to great lengths to avoid doing this very thing. When I decide to sell stuff, I take it out and try to figure out any and all reasons I may want to keep it in the future.

Yeah, I had told myself years ago I would never get rid of any of my Transformers. I guess I was trying to change, trying to be 'normal' and 'girly' and thought me having TF's wasn't a good thing. But I've come to find that being into TF's is me. I did keep alot that were ones I loved and what not, but I didn't know how many I had gotten rid of, and I mean rid of, I didn't even sell them, just gave them away, till I was going through all my instruction sheets last night.

This....
I never look back when I sell TF toys.
Similar to what "counterpunch" does,I weigh the scales & decide if I've outgrown the toy or I don't like it anymore.
I don't just pick random Transformers Stuff to sell. I only sell what I no longer want nor like.

I've never gotten rid of any of my Tfs, but that is because I make sure the ones I get are the ones I really want. Also I never thought that to have Tfs makes you not a girl or isn't 'girlish,' so I didn't have that reason either.
And if it did, I wouldn't give a jot, because life's too short anyway to try to be a perfect 'girl.'

Lol, yeah. That's why I've come to reason that when I was trying to be normal, I really wasn't happy and the guy I was trying to get didn't like me the same way, so I'm back into my main love, TF's. Just really upset at myself for getting rid of all the figs I had. Kind of like, "What the hell was I thinking!?!" lol. So with that in the past, I'm now trying to buy up the TF's I find and like to try and get my count back up. I'm happy the new movie is out, cause I was able to get back an Ironhide to replace the one I got rid of, and I love his scale better this time around.

I've only ever sold duplicates of figures.
The only reason I would sell my figures would be if I had to. I would have no problem selling them for an emergency.
I would only keep certain figures if I needed to sell and those would be the ones that have very fond memoried attached to them.
Hopefully you can get back most of your stuff. It can be a challenge from what I understand.

I kept all my important figs, like my re-issues, alternators, and worlds smallest. I'm just going to buy from the new lines out there and just start over. I'm just happy I didn't get rid of 'all' my collection. Mainly got rid of most of my Armada, Energon, Cybertron, and RID collections.

And RID, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron I've been buying like crazy lately. I have like 12 more Alternators to purchase.
When it comes to new lines, make sure you buy all the new Classics, Generations stuff. That stuff is amazing and as we all know, it gets expensive to get later on.

Well, when TF Energon came out, I just gave up on Transformers and sold or threw away all my Armada and Beast Wars stuff. Then the movies came out and now I regret every day.

I don't think any of us are ever truely 'normal,' or whatever 'normal' is supposed to mean anyway.
If you mean by 'normal' in by trying to fit into what society's idea of what a girl 'should be,' then I think you'd be better off not being it. You'd be much happier for it then trying to fit into a mold of which you could never be yourself.
Besides, if some guy needs for you to change so he can like you, how long would it be until you change in some other fashion that he doesn't like? You'd always be on your guard, and that's not a way to live. Also a decent guy likes you for who you are, not who he insists you to be.

P.S, Many guys on here like girls who like Tfs. A bunch have girlfriends who share their interests

I'm actually very happy my wife is not in to TF's. Whenever I'm at a convention and speak to fans (male of female), I fill up on it pretty quickly. At the end of the day I'm all burned out and ready for something else to do with my brainmeat.
If my wife would have been a TF-fan, I'd never get a rest from it.

The only regret I have is that my mother got rid of all the figs my brothers and I used to play with when we was chirruns. Although that being said, we PLAYED with them, so they were well used. Destroyed with love.
Also she got rid of them a good 15 odd years ago.

Glad to hear you're back in the fandom. Nice to have you back! We were all in your neck of the woods last year for BotCon.

Just when you thought you was out, they drag you back in.
You can never leave the fandom.

Yeah, just when Botcon finally comes to FL, is when I'm out of the fandom, lol. Miss talking with you. Hope all is good! We should catch up sometime.

I did that exact thing. I got rid of most of my 200 transformers, and nor I only have 15-20!

I had done that before. Unfortunately, it was somewhat out of necessity, but it still pained me to do it. I didn't sell them, but when i had to move across the country and had very limited space, my over 300 TF toys had to go. And I didn't sell them, I GAVE them away, all to a son of a coworker who LOVED Transformers but they were very poor so he had a couple of old Beast Wars toys he wore out (this was in 2005) so I gave him most of my stuff, I only kept some of my Primes and Megatrons and a few select rare figures. I haven't regretted most of it, just a few I thought I should have kept. But the kid was f**king HAPPY. Reminded me of when I was his age and started getting TFs so it was worth it I guess...

I'm selling off my vintage G1. I hate doing it now and I'll regret it later. But sometimes life throws a curve ball that you just have to swing at because it's 2 strikes and no balls and the pitcher always gets inside the box.

OK, I had 2 different responses, depending on whether you're a guy or a girl.
