Like the title says, did they announce the location of Botcon 2012 at Pasadena? No one said anything about it.

It hasn't been announced, they are still working on it.

Not announced, but then, I think they're waiting on the results of the "Should it be held in the same place every year?" survey question.
Supposedly, Hasbro wants it to be held in Pasadena from now on because it's easier for them.

Kind of odd actually, considering they're in Rhode Island. I suspect out of past years Fun Pub made more profit in Pasadina than in other locales? Just guessing though.

One single location for every year? That gets boring fast. Part of the charm of those conventions is that you get to see more of the US, and I want them to keep it like that.
And please let the next location or the one after that be in North Texas, preferably Dallas area...

From what I heard(so this is all 3rd hand to begin with), it partly has to do with many of the regular guests living out there and thus would be cheaper. Again, just what I'd heard from someone else who heard things, so not sure how true it is.

I hope it's not there every year. It was fun, but the location sucked ass. I hope it's on the East Coast next year. If thy want to be fair to every fan in the US they should hold it in the middle of the country like Denver or Kansas City or something.

They made the most money they ever have at the 2009 Botcon or whichever one was held in Pasadena before this 2011 one. So that is why they are hoping people would be Okay with it staying in just one place. They are also hopingw e would be Okay having a joint GI JOE/TRANSFORMERS convention as well. Now personally the pasadena location is great for me since I already live in LA, but I actually like traveling to other states that normally I would never normally go to for the convention. Plus even if people voted to have it in one particular place, who's to say that Pasadena, California is the place to hold it year after year. I mean we have a ton of stuff to do in Cali, but I like variety myself and a lot of people cannot afford to come here. We are one of the furthest states in the sense that we are all the way on the West Coast. I also am so pissed off at the hall of Fame non dinner event. We paid 45 bucks for absolutely nothing! We were told the gift bag would be worth more than the price of admission and we got a mask worth $9.99 at Target! Plus the character everyone voted for was Erector! Not waspinator! So the whole thing was rigged from the getgo. As such I personally will never, ever pay for another Transformers Hall of Fame event unless they either make it part of the Primus Package again or actually have a toy in the grab bags, and I strongly suggest that everyone else do the same.
Here's a link to a site I created over at Facebook to show my displeasure.

To be fair, Novascream, we were told beforehand there would be no dinner at the HoF event.
Also, I wouldn't mind a Denver Botcon. Couldn't possibly have something to do with where I live. ;P

The HoF was the highlight of BotCon for me. I'm not much for standing in long lines, and will not be doing it again. This was my first BotCon and I enjoyed the new experience. When I go back, I will go for the exclusives, probably the dealers room and finally the HoF. I just hope they hold it somewhere closer than the other side of the country.

Meanwhile I pray for it to be somewhere near the Florida Area

Nevertheless, as related to the post above the lines, we haven't heard crap about the 2012 location.

I will be honest, I will not mind a permanent location of Pasadena. It's very convenient for me.
However, this does screw everyone on the east side over so I am open to them keeping it moving around.
Heck, I would mind them having 2 main locations and switching between them each year. (1 east coast, and 1 west coast)

I don't mind that idea at all. I also live near LA so it makes it easy for me.

Woah. Sustain jumped out of HMW again. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to handle that.

I was thinking we can post a poll or petition where we state that we do not want it in Florida again if we have to stay at the Disney hotels. they are too expensive and too secluded. You are forced to spend your money only there and can't go anywhere unless you have a car or something. Otherwise they will make decisions based on under the table deals they made with the hotel owners/Disney and all that. If it's gonna be in Florida, they need to have it more in the center where Universal Studios is and cheaper hotels and actual viable transportation.

Why not Tampa? We got a convention center.

I’m really hoping if it’s anywhere, Portland or Seattle. The reason why, is that my vacation radius is limited to one state (Thanks to my grandfather

) and that TFcon will be at one of the territories bordering Washington
I can dream about going to ether

Where can we vote. I would hate it to stay in one location, especially in Pasadena, since I live on the East Coast. I mean, Cali already gets one awesome convention every year in San Diego- let this one move around so some people won't have to sell their souls to get there as they do for SDCC......

I liked it when it was in Columbus. It should go to low cost locales. Pasadena and Orlando already have so much and high costs. St. Louis is a perfect lower cost place. It is centrally located between both coasts and the north and south. That way most people have to travel and we don't fight over we have to go 3,000 miles every year. Then it also has a downtown convention center that is linked directly to the mass transit train (metro). You can get there from the airport or train station with no cabs. Only about $3.00. There is plenty to do. They have theaters, summer concerts, a six flags, a water park across the river, casinos, etc. I have not gone to Pasadena but I did go to L.A. once. I was not as impressed as I had hoped. I went to Disney but I am biased because I used to work there and knew how to exploit the transportation, had friends who lived there, I just plain love being on Property.
So I say St. Louis get it and see if they will kick in for promotional costs and make them a sponsor city. I do believe St. Louis needs something big like this.
