Do you like Scrounge, the somewhat beloved character from the old Marvel comics Transformers run? Well then this might be the news for you!
The UK based Transformers and Geek culture Podcast The Old Oilhouse has started a new campaign that is trying to get this truly odd character into the Hall of Fame 2012. The campaign is obviously called "Scrounge for BotCon 2012", just click that link to visit the information site.

For a second, I thought this was about a 3rd party Scrounge toy, possibly I-gear remolding Legends Cosmos into a scout for the Wreckers. While this isn't quite as cool, I'll gladly sign eventually.

Still, this had better not be a ploy by BW haters to split the votes away from Blackarachnia next year...but if it's a joke, it's a much better one than Erector. Someone please do fan art of him demonstrating his ability to shoot the bird even higher than DOTM Crankcase.

We're not starting this again ALREADY are we? Sure, I dig Scrounge. He's way cooler than Erector. Even though his head looks like the head of a penis. But I think this guy falls under the same category as him, seeing as he has no toy and he only appeared in 1 comic book issue. To quote what Aaron Archer said at the Hall of Fame dinner AND at the Hasbro panel the next day, "Please don't do this again. We take this very seriously."

I'm not gonna hate on Scrounge like I did Erector. I just want to point it out that he will not win. Sorry, but he'll get a Generations figure before he gets into the Hall of Fame. Actually I hope he does get a figure. What did he turn into? A wheel?

But, please, don't start this crap again. There was a reason Hasbro gave everyone a Baby Bottle Pop in their HoF goodie bag. I don't want to see a yo-yo in my 2012 bag.



Now, you want to talk real potential nominees. Beast Wars is 2 for 2 so far. Next year, let's see if we can go for the hat-trick! BW Inferno! Yeah!

I like him,but just in G1.

Considering as how I wrote most of his tfwiki entry, I'd be down for that. Unless Swindle is up for it. That's just how it goes.

I'd like to see several ones in the main category, six or eight.

Also, this means the Hall of Fame isn't going away, it seems. I like that. I'd like to see it continue and be a permanent fixture.

But I do believe Beast Wars will go 3 for 3 if no BW characters will be nominated by them. And the BW character going in will be either Rattrap or Blackarachnia.

Least Wars needs more than one nominee so the leastiality fans aren't putting all their votes toward a united cause...which is the only reason the other two lamers got voted in the first place.
