Last night I got home from work and walked into a scavanger hunt. That is to say I had post it notes stuck all over the house with tiny clues written on them leading me to my swag. (She even took the time to make little rhymes out of my clues) The hunt ended when I eventually was lead via clues to my pillow and under it was a package.
This package contained yet another figure I had been drooling over. Galvatron.
There are few things that can beat the thrill of finding a new, unexpected figure under your pillow. LOL. The best part is that she only paid 13.50 shipping and all.
I am so very lucky to have landed a wife whom is not only hyper sexy and smart, but totally supports my addiction. I believe I have pulled her into my addiction as well. She has become quite the little ebayer.
Anyhow, I love this figure. My only critique is that he could have been a bit larger. He looks really nice standing next to cyclonus and scourge. I may now have to buy a couple more scourges to round out the look of the pack. (Every scourge needs his sweeps no?)
Curious, is there a forum on this site where fans have posted pics of themselves, wives and children? I suppose I could post pics of the family and I with a pic of my collection here shortly.

Urgh, I think the fact that it's Universe Galvatron actually means that she hates you and secretly wishes that you go insane while transforming him

My wife would like to do stuff like that a lot more often than she does, but she says she's not able to keep up with everything I got, plus the fact of there being like 3 different versions of one figure. She does try, though, and that alone makes me happy. And at Christmas time, I just point it out at my favorite site, BBTS, and she gets it (or them) for me. Not to mention having to spend time with me running around town searching too. All in all, she's AWESOME!!

I guess we are two lucky dudes........

Universe galv was my most anticibated figure ... and i think it is still a top fig in my Universe 2.0 collection

That's so cool, dude! I'm happy for you! My GF would probably do that if she stood a chance of buying something I wanted but didn't already have. I've got DOTM stuff that isn't available over here yet (Thanks Paul053!) so she really doesn't stand a chance. She does admire my customs which tickles the ego.

Aint that the truth!!! But you gotta hand it to them. Despite the fact that there all those little parts that have to be twisted, rearranged and all the miticulous little quirks involved with the Painfully difficult transformation of the figure at the end of the day he transforms from one fine looking tank into one fine looking galvatron. ( you can only immagine how carefull I was trying to make sure not to break him as I turned him into a bot. That makes things even more difficult)
He could have been a bit larger but thats just because he is the leader. He is still perfectly in scale with the rest of the classic/generation figures. I am consistantly amazed with how well the folks at hasbro/takara can create these things and make them transform into perfect, to near perfect depictions of their toon characters. Now if my universe prime megatron two pack would only arrive....
The only figures Im itching to get my mitts on now are thunder cracker, wheeljack, wreck gar and war path all of which I have been told are still available at stores. I have also been told that hasbro is going to be repackaging these figures into new assortments in an effort to get more of them into the hands of eager fans. Because of this I was told I would be kicking myself in the ass if I were to buy any of these off ebay for inflated prices. I hope this bit of info is indeed true.
The figures I need that I will have to get from ebay are ultramagnus, megatron(the awesome one with the blk n grey colors that turns into a gun)ram jet, sky warp, shock wave, grimlock and ratchet.
Actually, now that Ive written them all down, I still have a ways to go. All well. Ive got lots of room under my pillow.

My partner has the same problem when it comes to buying them, she doesnt have a clue, however she did get me MP Grimlock and DOTM leader sentinal for fathers day off my 2 kids so when she gets it right she gets it really right lol. On a side note if she knows there is one i want she wont let me leave the store without it. She also realises that if i see a rare fig then its best to buy it there and then because it wont be there for long.

I may complain sometimes but i truely am blessed, because my best mate collects too and his partner doesnt understand it at all. We were joking about me buying his MISB Powermaster Prime for £20, and she went and fetched it and tried to throw in Star lynx too lol

Bless my wife's heart, she tries! I came home from classes a few weeks ago & she tried to surprise me for working hard & nearing graduation. She was out & found...... Gen Blurr (which I've had since like February) I've gone as far as having a hand-written checklist of what I want taped to the side of my glass TF case. When in doubt, she's to refer to that. lol When our anniversary came around last winter, she tried hard to find me some G1's that I would like (like an Omega Supreme or Sky-Lynx) but I stopped her because, right now I don't have room for a big figure on my originals shelf. She DID find me HFTD Leader Screamer 2 weeks ago at TJ Maxx for half price so she also gets is RIGHT when she gets it right
