Ever wonder how the best decepticons stack up to the best autobots, based on their stats alone?
Ever stack up the Dinobots versus Shockwave to see what advantages each had in a fight?
Ever ask yourself, how many Transformers had a rank of a perfect 10 and who were they?

The answer, of course, is ‘no’.

And yet, this is precisely what I have accomplished when I created my Transformers G1 Stat Cruncher.

This file lets you do these comparisons, and many, many, more. I’ve taken all the G1 toys from 1984 to 1990, threw out the duplicates, and created a searchable database with all that information. Most of the data came from the excellent Transformers Identification and Price Guide from Mark Bellomo.

Stupid? Yes. A waste of my time? Perhaps. However if you are into numbers at all, you won’t help yourself being sucked into this tool as you ask pointless question after pointless question. Trust me, this is more fun than it sounds.

Go to my website to check out the tool. Here’s the link:

The file is an Excel file. You will need to use a version of Excel that is 2007 or later, otherwise parts of the file won’t work. I recommend enabling the macros, but almost all of the functionality will work with macros disabled if you are worried about that sort of thing.

Most of the data will be spot on, but there will be errors, I am sure. Just let me know and I will fix them. The size category in particular might be off as I had to guess based on my memory and pictures.

I hope you enjoy this!
