Stupidest Thing(s) You've Ever Done Out of a Love for Transformers

I was stumped on the essay portion of the SAT and realized that there was one thing I knew enough about to write the second half of my essay on: Transformers. I wrote about the leadership styles of Optimus Prime and Megatron and how Megatron's leadership style got him tossed out into space by Starscream.
My score? 10 out of 12.

Ate at Applebee's for Human Alliance Barricade. Was it worth it. I'm still deciding.

I hate Applebee's so if I was in your position I would say worth it since I want HA Barricade.
I can't remember doing anything stupid for TFs. I usually keep quiet about it unless someone asks me.

I also spend money on them. Way too much. Every time I say "that's it, that's the last one" something else comes along. I said it about MP Rodimus, and when I buy him, here comes DotM Leader Megatron! But he will be the last one. I swear...

I spend time posting on an internet message board with other nerds from across the globe discussing them. But I'm still cool.

Attempting to take up customizing/kitbashing when I don't necessarily have the time, $, or know-how to do so. I'll probably just have a big box of broken TF's for a long time til I give them away.
Also, this Autobot symbol

tattooed on my forehead and my 3 kids named Jazz, Hound, and Ratchet may have been a bit overboard.

I Don't believe that for a second...

Paying $707 (that includes for S&H and sending the money via Western Union) for a 100% orginal God Ginrai MITB on the now defunct yahoo auctions, then the reissue was announced the same day I won it.

I would've raged so hard, the universe itself would be torn asunder.

This is a very valid excuse to eat your own skull.

Is that the "real" reason you walked 3 miles that day to the store? not cause you "needed the excercise?

Stupidest thing I've ever done was spend $100 on Alternator's Hound. Was it worth it? I own a green Jeep Wrangler, so I think it was worth it.

OMG!! LOL! I can't believe you remembered that! Well....I did walk those 3 miles to check out a Target for those deluxe exclusives. Did that cause I didn't feel like using my gas. But I still think me spending gas money on a TF was more stupid.

YES. If toy collecting also gets you to stay in shape for whatever reason, how is that stupid? I'd deem it 'unintended health bonus'.

Pay ridiculous prices for reissues when I started back collecting. 110 euro for Megatron, 50-70 for most of the others. In my defence, I didn't know about Ebay back then.
Buying almost any TF I saw when I got back collecting.
Being on these sites and Ebay from 1 on a Fri afternoon to 5 on Sat morn and then pretty much all day Sat and Sun back when I got the internet in my flat first. Can't believe I broke up with my fiancee and not the other way around. I was obsessed with this franchise for a while and yet she was encouraging about it. Most women wouldn't have put up with that hence my disbelief that I broke it off. Not because of Transformers, mind you.
Almost crying in the cinema during the Arrival of the Autobots. I was 30 for crying out loud.

Why the hell didn't you just spend $30 on the Hasbro version? I have it and it's still in great shape.

Spent $30 on eBay to obtain an impossible-to-find-in-Massachusetts ROTF Skystalker.

I spend way too much in gas doing toy hunts. most of the time I could buy them on ebay for less that the prices od gas used up.
Sometimes it is worth the gas just not to feed the scalpers on ebay.
