Listen I know your busy and all, but I just wanted to point out something that has been worrying me and at the same time, pissing me off, AND I bet I'm not the only one. I'm speaking, of course, of "Bumps" I see them all over the forums. I'll be reading comments on a pretty good, at least good IMO, Subject of matter, and all the sudden, I see a comment that says, plain and simple: BUMP
Seibertronians "Bump" To up they're status and posting levels. Personally, Id'e put them all on a three strike system, but that's just me. Anyway, thanks for listening, and Please consider what I've brought to the table here. These "BUMPS" are an annoyance that should NOT be looked over. Something must be done!

Do you have evidence of these "bumps" in actual on-going threads?

Because quite often, the only time i've seen them is in the Carbombya Forums and that's because people want to bump their thread up for attention.

Oh and if a "bump" is pissing you off, step away from the computer. It's just a messageboard, something like that shouldn't piss you off, if it does, might be a good indication you need a break.

This is more or less a private matter that should be addressed by the Administrators. They're the only ones with the power to make such a change.

However, requiring them to do this and demanding this, especially in public, is not a good way to get what you want or to ingratiate yourself with them or your fellow board members.

I agree that bumps are annoying, however, some are necessary, such as in sales threads. Also, a 3 strikes rule for something this simplistic? That's just way too far. If they start punishing us for stuff this simple, they'll have to go after us for everything considered annoying. It's not fair to us, it's not fair to them.

Relax. A bump ain't gonna kill anyone.

Bump

In all seriousness I think Burn and :BOT:032 summed it up well. Bumping is tolerated in our B/S/T forums and if double posting occurs, then moderators and admins will handle it. If you feel that something that has been overlooked, then feel free to contact me or anyone other moderator on this list. Threads like these are unnecessary, thank you.

There is a rule about this

general-rules-for-seibertron-com-s-forums-t14626.php

The Rules wrote:5. No Spam or Commercial Advertising.
Do not make threads that have absolutely no constructive purpose (such as "Post about anything here!" threads). If your thread does not have at least some attempt at a topic, it will be considered spam and locked. This includes spam posts just so you can pad your post count. We are also not here to be free advertising to make you money. If you want to advertise on Seibertron.com, contact a moderator or the site admin and we'll see about working something out with you. Otherwise, any thread linking to a commercial site for the express purpose of getting guests to buy things from it will be locked, and the link removed. Do not continuously bump your thread as this can be considered spam to pad up your post count, let others move it back to the top.

If you see any instance of this in the regular forums please bring it to my attention.
