A few questions and ideas.

Well... My biggest question... is (and I know someone will laugh at this) does anyone actually still play with their Toys? In my honest opinion... TF's of any kind are meant to be enjoyed much like any other toy/plaything. but for collectors of my kind playing with the toy has to be done responsibly. so... yes I still play with my toys, but I'm much more careful about how i do that. I know I should keep some of them in the box but I can't resist it's like their begging to play. I tried to keep my beast wars and special edition sets in the box but I always end up taking them out. So anyone else do the same thing?

I'll have to ask about one other thing. if you are like me and still enjoy the play value of the bot's then how do you play? I have very rarely damaged any toys. but I'll admit it can happen if I get too carried away. but it's more likely for someone else in my family to break or ruin my collection... but then agian I don't let anyone else get that close under normal circumstnces. what would you do if someone did break that collection? I might go completly insane if i ever lost it all.

The same, kinda goes for me, I mean, I don't make little sound effects, but from Time to Time I find myself holding shocky in one hand, prime in the other, and going
"Resistance is illogical Prime! Surrender!"
"One shall stand, shockwave, now give me your face!"
or something like that.... i don't play with them much though. I do transform them ALOT however.

No,I don't play with my Transformers toys.

I buy them because I like the designs.

I transform them once then put them on a shelf.

And that's why you don't have fun with them! Transform them, pose them, love them...

I am 27 years old, most adults "DON'T" play with their toys like 5 to 8 year olds kids do.

I don't go into a corner & talk to my TF toys in role play fashion. I don't feel the need to grab a bunch of TF toys while the TF cartoons are on & create the scenes/battles with the toys in my hands. I don't take baths & throw a few TF toys in the tub for play time. I don't go to the park,go into the sand box & play with my TF toys with other kids.

Since these TF toys are quite exspensive to begin with. I don't feel the need to act out role play & smash various TF toys up against each other in a attempt to re-enact battles from the cartoons/movies/comics.

I'm sorry if you don't think I have fun with my TF toys. I do have fun with my TF toys I buy. Transforming & getting the achievement of changing it back & forth is fun for me. testing the toys engineering, available joints & joint restrictions is fun for me. preparing & clearing a space on my display shelf for the new TF toy is fun for me.

Try to find anyone on here who does half that ****! I transform them for pretty much every reason you said you transform yours, though you saying "Back and fourth" Disproves your Transform them once and put them on the shelf bit, unless you display them a certain way, or are talking about triple changers, and if thats the case mr serious, buy more than one! And posing them is a very cool and Dynamic way to display a TF, However, if they all just sort of, stand there, it's boring. As for the role playing and talkinf and bathtub and sandbox ****, well, I did'nt even know people actually DID stuff like that..... I'm guessing thats somehow aimed at me, however, but I really don't care what you think if thats the case...

see, this bit here was done to drop the whole, "Give me your face" Joke, and you'd be blind not to see that. I don't play with them in your context, but I do, like I said, transform them alot. they are called TRANSFORMERS Last time I checked. Your definition of play and mine (And quite a few others) Are pretty different I must say.
In your definition, no, I don't play with them.
In my definition, yes, I kinda do.
Transformers transform. It's commen sense. you buy it to transform it. you transform it cause' you bought it. you pose them if you like them enough, and if there is enough room on your shelf.
But I digress.
PS: Would love to see your face when you see a "Gimmick" In action, like mechtech. you must LOVE DOTM Shockwave.....

Well... I am an adult. For me, if I never played with my TFs or other action figures then they would just go to waste... covered in dust and rotting away, that's what's happening to my G1 style soundwave becuase I keep him in one spot usaully a shelf all the time. of cuorse he's not meant for play. so I can't play with this one. but for most other ones, I find it difficult to let them sit around and do nothing. mostly It's the Legends/Cyberverse/Minicon class's that I like to play with... the rest mostly stay on shelves or tables positioned to look cool. I don't break them or throw them or anything that would damage them.
but I do "Make up" stroylines and enjoy all the Bot's have to offer.

For the most part, my stuff is on display (when I have a place to display it, anyway).

But usually when I'm hanging out and watching something, or just dicking around on the internet, one or two will catch my eye and I'll pull them down from the shelf and transform them a few dozen times. Occasionally I'll also pose them like they're fighting each other, and usually anything I buy goes through a period of a day or two on my desk enduring this "playtime" before I figure out where it'll live from then on.

So while it's pretty light as far as play goes, I'd still say I play with them. And hey, I'm 25, so what? >:oP
