Lockdown.

Once upon a time, near the beginning of "Transformers Generations" there was a release of a new comic featuring the new character Drift. I did not see these comics anywhere, nor do I know anything about them. However, I did hear that Lockdown had made an appearance in one of these. I don't know if this is true or not, so I was just wondering if someone could give me a rundown of the Drift comics. Maybe even a scan of Lockdown appearing in said comic.

Thanks in advance,
Finishline.

I haven't read the comic's, but Lockdown is essentially the Movieverse version with a human-like face.

Wonderful! That's all I needed to hear!

I saw Lockdown at a TJ Maxx the other day and I picked him up because I had heard that he was in the comic with Drift, but I didn't hear it until after he'd passed through my area. Now that I have him, he fits my Classics Shelf requirements. Which is good, because the Autobots have almost twice as many.

And you have Hasbro to thank for that. A G1 Lockdown comic model was already made, but Hasbro insisted on using the Movie Lockdown design instead. One case of official repurposing.

I'm not (too) offended by that. I'm happy to put more Decepticons on my shelf! I can stick Axor there too, once I find him.

Movie Lockdown? I thought Lockdown was from Animated. Though I never read the movie comics...

He was, but it's the same kind of deal as Lugnut. They released a movieverse/Classicsverse version of the both of them.

*EDIT* On a similar note, does anyone else remember a movie repaint of the Classics Mirage mold? If so, could anyone direct me to what it's name is?

Decepticon Fracture. She's an homage to Crasher, one of the Gobot Renegades.

You're partially right.

Lockdown started in Animated. He had a figure made in one of the ROTF lines (I don't remember which), which was repurposed for the G1 Drift comic.

Ah. That would be Axor. I never read the Drift comic. Am I missing out? Same with Last Stand of the Wreckers...

You mean you didn't read THE Last Stand? Get out there and read it! It's the best IDW comic till now. A bit dark story, but the writing is excellent.

As for the Drift mini: Nice art (the gundam-ish looks are refreshing), good story - not the best, but good.

Not only are you missing out, you're a bit behind with toy releases. Lockdown was released for the N.E.S.T. subline, and was retooled into Axor for HftD.

Yeah, I am behind... :(

I just completed my Masterforce Overlord, so in honor of the big guy I will probably pick up LSotW. He's the main bad guy, right? Heard he was a total badass in the story. And I like dark story lines very much. Not emo stuff, but you know, *serious* stuff. Oh, and a high body count.

Anyway, back to Lockdown. How many incarnations does the mold have?

1. Lockdown
2. Axor
3. BotCon exclusive Wildrider.

Any more?

And BTW, I think the robot mode is hideous, whereas the car mode is WIN.

Again, you're behind. Animated Lockdown and RotF Lockdown are two different molds, but the former inspired the latter, like what happened to Lugnut. Here's the list:

Animated:
1. Lockdown
2. Stealth Lockdown
3. Blazing Lockdown
4. BotCon Wildrider

RotF:
1. Lockdown
2. Axor

I just got Axor today. Man, oh man, does he have a huge head. So, I was looking at my ROTF collection and I thought to myself 'You know what... Bludgeon/Banzaitron could totally fit in with my Classics if Lockdown/Axor can.' So, I was just wondering if that mold had crept into one of the G1-ish comics.

PS. Sorry about all the questions. I don't have any of the TF comics other than the ones that come with figures, and my town only has one comic book store left.
