Thinking about selling everything - need advise

Ive been collecting transforms for several years now and have pretty much sold everything off aside from my entire classics/henkei/rts ect ect figures. Me and my wife are trying to get our very own house in the next few months and im really starting to wonder if i should keep on collecting anymore....
Basically this house will cost us £152953 which means that once we pay off the £6000 deposit + £800 for solicitors ect then we should have to pay £500 a month for the next 32 years and the house should be all ours.
Now the problem im getting is im an EX- toy reviewer. ive got a digital camera worth £300 and ive worked on about 4 other websites over the past but just dont do them anymore because i got fed up of people disapointing me or letting me down with promises not kept (long story) and now i dont do reviews anymore i find i get the figure, play with them alittle and then put them on a shelf were i dont do anything with them...this could be for months at a time really
now were trying to get a new house i just seem to be thinking about it all the time and how i want better things for our new house such as a 40 inche flat screen tv...but that would cost £300... and then theres this wall mural i want on the main wall in the living room...that would cost £90 ect ect the prices basically add up ALOT in short
I really do love my figures and playing with them but i find im getting them and just putting them on a shelf and not touching them anymore...
im starting to wonder if i should just pack it all in and use the money on our new house and better things for it.
I know in my heart i would miss them deeply because i like to look at them and fiddle with them from time to time. Im just wondering if its really worth it anymore because my wife says the money could be used for more practical things that we would use everyday such as a better fridge/tv/wardrobe
Im just after any advise from people who have been in the same situation as me and if you did sell all your tfs then what did you do afterwards?
