Have you ever come across random Transformers references / rip offs and found yourself laughing at them?
I just had one of those moments. Dunno if any of you frequent Gaiaonline but their Halloween event just started and one of their NPC's is attempting to look like our favorite Autobot leader.

I always found the Family Guy references funny, particularly the more recent "Negatron" cutaway.

I remember there was a thing on Robot Chicken a while ago where Optimus Prime was in the hospital for some reason. I remember thinking it was funny, but I don't remember much else about it.

SPEAKING OF...
Just saw an ad on TV for a Simpsons episode due to air tonight at 18:30 on Channel 36 Fox (Rochester). Something about 'Transformers' taking over Springfield... I'm about to go off duty and won't be back until this Friday night. No TV at home. No computer. Could someone have a look at this and review it here? From the clip alone, it looked like it was going to be cheerfully perverted!
PS: If this was what was referenced in a post above already, sorry, all I saw was a blank white square.
PSS: I always liked the 'Transfarmers' gags they used in one of the Corner Gas TV episodes a while back myself... (And yes, they were TransFARMers...farm animals that transformed into killer robots.)

@ Biddy - Damn! Missed that one Hopefully someone else caught it. I'm sure it'll pop up on youtube though at some point though, if only in parts.

It's season 20 episode 4, Treehouse of Terror XIX. The first third of the episode is called TransMorfers. And it is extremely, stupidly perverted.
I can't actually link where I found it on here, but it's out there..!

Lol. This is why I don't watch the Simpsons. The humor generally isn't my thing. Might look it that episode up later though. I can always shut it off if I don't like it xP

Will have to toodle by the library next week to actually view it, but references/reviews were easy to dig up in the meantime. I even found a quotable quote of the dialog from the specific clip I saw...here it is:
Bestimus Macho: Wait a minute. We're missing Sex Toy. [Sex Toy enters] Bestimus Macho: Where have you been? Sex Toy: Where haven't I been?
Heh. And now you know why I instantly assumed that this one was going to be cheerfully perverted!
Back to references I've actually seen... Here's one I heard on The Daily Show, about a month or so ago. Jon and one of his 'reporters' were discussing some big Tea Party meetings and the difficulties the Party was having in finding suitable candidates because of what Jon thought were the Party's impossibly high standards. So Jon starts naming people most would consider highly virtuous as fantasy candidates, all of whom the reporter guy kept shooting down for one ridiculous reason or another. Then, VERY unexpectedly, I hear Jon suggest, "Optimus Prime." Nope. Sorry. Even Optimus wouldn't do. Because Optimus would have supported the auto assembly plant bailouts...

Stokes is trying to upload a hard drive but finds it heavily encrypted he calls over Sanders. "There is more then meets teh eye with this hard drive Greg." Greg as he walks over comments. "What is it a Transformer?"
And in the episode Night Terrors of Doctor Who in the toys that the Doctor brought to life with his screwdriver there is a Stomping Robot's Optimus Prime

This transformers reference was in one of it's shows "Beast Wars" The maximals were trying to break into the autobot's spaceship when this exchange happens.
Rattrap: Yessh why are these doors so hard to cut through? What are they made of anyway?
Optimus Primal: Die Cast Metal. It's a lost art really.

I watched Real Steel last night and they had a G1 Transformers reference in there.
While Hugh and his son are in the junkyard looking for a new Robot his kid finds a old Robot head and Hugh says something to the effect of "That's a Generation 1, Before your time. That's back when people wanted them to look as human as possible." The head looked alot like G1 Bumblebee, except it was white. I thought it was pretty clever to add that little reference in there.

Last night I was watching Family Guy and it was the episode where Loretta cheated on Cleveland with Quagmire. I forgot what part but between scenes, it showed Peteres face zoom out, flip to Quagmires face and zoom back in like with the faction symbols from G1. It even had the little 2 second song with it too. And the same show, the episode where Peter found a jewish guy to do his taxes. When they went to the jewish temple, Peter notices a bunch of famous people who were jewish and he spotted O Prime.
Then there was another when Joe and Peter were on heist, Joe cancles it and tells Peter to put the money back. Peter says "What? Are you crazy?" Joe takes the headset off and holds it up and says "Tell him Megatron" Megatron bends over and says "Do as I command!" with the G1 voice and Peter says "Okay okay. Jeez" I have alot more if you want to keep going. Even some from other shows too like from Robot Chicken and MAD

I don't usually like TF references elsewhere (just not that funny), but Family Guy just does it right.

Agent Fowler is going on about how if the Autobots don't get their **** together, the government is going to shut down their base...
Raf: But, where will you go?
Ratchet: Who knows! Maybe they'll ship us off to some island, or fire us into space! Wouldn't that be a welcome change!?
While it's not FOR SURE (I don't want anyone to think I'm assuming things here) that's most likely Orci and Kurtzman taking a jab at themselves, referencing the Diego Garcia NEST base and then shooting the Autobots into space in DotM.
