Masterpiece Megatron Question

I know legally all of them must have that orange cap on the gun / accessories, but if someone (such as myself) were to buy that, would there be a way to remove that orange cap? ie, maybe using a flat head screwdriver or something of the sort? I've never really dealt with toys that have those caps, so I dont know how easy or difficult it would be to accomplish. And yes, I know it could be confiscated, etc, but hey, what pigs dont see, they dont know.
Just wondering, because the Takara reissue I purchased didnt come with an orange cap.

True, its the general discussion so I kinda just figured it'd be ok. Whatever.
ATTN mods: move this at your disgression.

As it pleased everyone else. Except those that collect MISB.

When I picked up mine, my dad drove so I could take it out of the package on the way home. The first thing i did was to remove the orange cap... just took my time and removed it with my fingers... the barrel that it is in is plastic so I would not recommend any tools... Also you shouldn't be able to purchase a MISB fig because to get through customs most have been opened... but they are quickly modified back to the great Non-safety Megatron

Hence why I made a thread asking how easy it was to take the cap off.

It was so simple I was laughing at BBTS. Just take a pair of pliers & put them around the cap (NOT the barrel, you'll scratch it) & twist & turn it until it starts to turn itself. By that time, it'll come off w/a few more yanks. Very easy.

Well my masterpiece came with a orange plug and I found it was easily removable all I did was grip the tip of the plug with a pair of plyers and wiggled the cap back and forth as I slowly pulled upwards and the plug popped out fairly easily with no damage done to my Masterpiece Megatron barrel. Here is a few pictures enjoy.
