Was surprised noone here has posted about this yet. But apparently Hasbro and Botcon are sort of declaring war of sorts on some parts of the Fandom, as well as Dealers. From what I've gathered, apparently displaying or selling any third party items is stictly prohibited, and if some one seen doing so, Hasbro at their discretion will be confiscating the items. Whether they'd be returned or not after the convention is up in the air, but the wording seems to imply that they will not be.

I didn't think this would be news. 3rd party stuff isn't licensed by Hasbro, they wouldn't allow it be sold at events sponsored by them.

Neh. Hasbro's got every right to ban the stuff.

Makes sense. I mean, if say Nintendo had a convention it'd be perfectly logical for them to ban all Sony or Microsoft stuff. 3rd Party/KOs are the closest thing to competition Transformers have.

I'd say it's closer to a Nintendo convention where counterfeit GBA/NDS cartridges are natural to be banned.

Or maybe it's jealousy that 3rd party manufacturers cater to collectors much better than Hasbro ever cared to? And yes, I know the old argument of Hasbro is a toy company selling to kids, blah blah blah. Bottom line is, 3rd party takes care of collectors better, and Hasbro doesn't like it.
