So Eric and I found a way to spend money quicker than going to a strip club in NY. United's check-in system won't allow you to check in bags 45 minutes prior to the flight. You have to check in before that. We finally got to the front of the line to check in after waiting in line for about 20 minutes only to find out that we were five minutes too late to check out bags in. United's rule is that your bags have to travel with you so they were going to put us on stand by but the next flights for today were all sold out. The United staff was rude and didn't offer to help us in any way.

FIVE FRIKKIN' MINUTES!!!

Long story short (yes, there's more to it than this post), I ended up hopping on my laptop and was able to snag 2 tickets for flights later today for Eric and I. $400 some more dollars later, we're in O'Hare, sitting down, eating McDonald's, trying to kill the next 4 hours until our flight to D.C. where we will connect to our flight to Providence.

Man, after the ordeal with JetBlue at JFK airport back in February and this ordeal today, I'm starting to think that I'm just not meant to fly. Ugh. This sucks!!!

Less learned: get to the airport 2 hours before your scheduled departure.

LAAAAME!!!

I've heard stories of how terrible United's Staff was. I don't suggest that you ever fly with them again...

If I have enough of one, I don't think I'll care about not having the other.

Planning ahead is important....

Dude. I think you could sell these comments on bumper stickers or magnets and people would throw money at you to buy them.

We arrived in D.C. to catch our connecting flight about 3:00PM EST. It's been one ordeal after another since we arrived here. I think everything is finally all set and we'll be boarding our delayed flight in about an hour and a half.

I swear I am never going to fly again!!! :P
