I can see where you're coming from. It's a bit of a sensory overload, especially if it's your first time.

However, before you make a rash decision (and I realize you think you've thought this through...) don't sell a single thing yet.

I made that mistake (even without the presence of BotCon) and I sold off some cool figures I'm still kicking myself for. Now, I can't even afford to get 'em back and it looks like it'll stay that way.

Just take a step back, relax, and then make a decision. You'll be happier in the long run.

Didn't go but the news that came from Botcon seemed a little on the boring side and expect my interest in TF's to slow but definitely not die.

Mine will probably slow down in the next few months. I nevere went to botcon though, hopefully I can make it to SDCC as I'm curious what they have there if anything besides the exclusives. Long shot though

Agreed. This year's BotCon was less than awesome. There were a few in the past that really wowed us all.

I don't know if my interest will die down...if more figures like Dropkick and Longarm keep coming....yeah, my wallet will be permanently opened.

Less the awesome!? You obviously weren't there.

Indeed!

The movie, the toys, the guests, the Animated preview...

So good.

(and if you had been there you would have learned just exactly what a 'Front-butt' is. That alone was worth the price of admission)

Yes, the "Front-butt" was where it was at. And I almost fell off of my chair laughing at that.

Whats a Front Butt? :???:

I doubt I want to know.

And I've never gone to BotCon (would like to, but probably never will), so I wouldn't know if it would make me sick of Transformers. I doubt it, though. Unlike most folks, I can't get enough no matter what I do.

Glad you asked.

See, when someone gets so big (read fat), and I mean really, really big, not "Hi, I'm overweight, it's cool.", but "Lordy, I might die any minute of a heart-attack" big; that their zipper on their pants presses in to their front fat that it makes a whole new set of 'cheeks' on their front end...

well, that's front-butt.

Learning, is half the battle!

Yup, I know what you mean. I get that way whenever there is sensory opverload, like the Dealer room in Botcon, over activity on ebay or just getting bombarded with Movie toy variants. Since Ive had all 3 happen to me in the last cpl of weeks, I'm right there with you.

And seeing as I wasn't there ... well, saw the movie before everyone else anyway. Toy wise, I like the idea of some that are upcoming, but felt that compared to previous years there wasn't as much info.

Guest wise, I read the David Kaye stuff, definitely sounded like a fun one to sit in on. The news from the IDW panel interested me the most. Hasbro's was so-so and i'm still not sold on the idea of the next animated show but what they said did encourage me a little.

But for someone who wasn't able to attend and relied on regular news updates and photos, it just seemed like a low key affair compared to previous years.

But not low key to the point i'm giving up on TF's.

It's interesting...

The convention kept most everyone really busy the entire weekend.

There was very little down time to do a whole lot of reporting (props to ACS and Seibs for getting the info out).

Now that its over, it seems everyone who was there is just crashing. I barely left the house today, just unpacked and put up new toys.

But really, the biggest issue at hand was that most of the really big pieces of info came in picture or film form. All I can tell ya Burn, is that the next year is going to be a resurgence in Transformers story-telling (the new show) and is going to give us some very cool toys the likes of which we really haven't had before.

Yeah, as the reports were coming out I was thinking "how the hell do you choose what panels to sit in on?". I could see they definitely crammed a whole lot into the weekend.

I've already told Mephala that her and I are going to make an effort to attend the Botcon when the next movie opens.

Should give us a couple of years to save up for at least the airfare one way. :P

One thing I don't know if it was answered or not, these toys from the next animated show, they do transform don't they? I might have missed it but I only seem to remember talk about poseability being like nothing we've ever seen before. (I realise it should be obvious that they HAVE to transform but you never know in this day and age of wackyness)

They definately do transform.

The toys look a lot like Energon figures with more articulation and better proportions.

Surprisingly, Bulkhead (the fat one) looks awesome. He's probably my favorite. It's amazing that they get the transformation on him with all the size.
