Even as a Warp fan, I still don't understand what made him so popular. For me personally, it was the color scheme. What are other Warp fans thoughts?.

I think either one of the following:
-Cool Name
-Color Scheme
-Teleportation powers
-OR the fact that there's that psychological effect that Japan usually gets all the good Skywarps, making us crave him more.

I'd imagine being one of the originals and that the fact he's a repaint (of one of the major Cons, no less) means he pops up a lot --to the point he's expected to make an appearance in basically every series-- would help boost his popularity more than anything Skywarp himself did.

I love teleportation powers in general, and Skywarp, despite being a moron, is an effective and powerful soldier. He's good at following Megatron and Starscream's commands and killing things.
He's not my favorite of the Seekers, but I do think he has a lot of untapped storyline potential.

For me, He's got an awesome, truly Decepticon black paint job. And he can teleport much like Nightcrawler, Who has always been one of my fav Marvel characters.
On a side note, IDW has done some amazing things with out favorite older characters. Keeping them as we know them and expanding them in directions I believe they would go. If you get a chance, read the IDW Transformers comics from the past year or two. Awesome story line(s) you won't regeret it.

He pushes people down sets of stairs.
That's an awesome power, because it's relatable.

An interesting question.
For me, it was the color scheme. Simple, yet effective.

I loved him for his teleportation powers. My first version of the character was the repaint of the Beast Machines Jetstorm mold, which I still think suits his ability nicely.

That frustrates me, I mean we don't ever have a shot at getting a Skywarp from any series other than G1, without paying out the rear for it.

His TFWiki page is an absolute riot.

My point precisely.

I love the Seekers, so liking Skywarp is kind of part of the job. I love his colors, as long as we're talking about the classic black and purple Skywarp. It's like he purposely chose his colors to reflect the purple of the Decepticon logo and the traditional black/dark color of villains. Character wise I guess I like him for the thuggishness he's supposed to embody, like he's the designated Seeker tough guy.

Not a particular Skywarp fan but I like Skywarp because he is a simple and straight Decepticon with the pride.

Yup, color scheme and Story Breaker Power.
