The Mrs. and I were about halfway though the movie, when the power goes out. Turns out a power transformer blew, knocking out the entire block. We got passes for tomorrow's showing, since I have to be at work waaaay early.

Couldn't handle the awesomeness.

Reminds me of when I went to see Kill Bill and the film caught fire.

The power didn't go out at my theater. However, we only got to see about 50 minutes of the movie last night...until the projectionist messed up and it was going backwards and upside down! We all got free passes, but now I have to wait to fight the crowds tomorrow because I work both of my jobs all day today! :-x

That's FREAKING RETARDED! Does anyone know why in the world the United States still puts out movies to theaters on actual FILM? Why are we not burning DVD's and sending them to theaters?

Cost. It's actually cheaper to put them om film when shipping them out.

I think because of the cost of upgrading all the theater equipment. However most newer theaters have digital. I saw TF in a DLP theater on the other side of town: crisp, clear, and beautiful!!!
