Expanding my Transformers horizons

After attending Botcon I am very excited to catch up on all of the shows that I never watched. Basically anything past G1. I picked up Season 3 of Beast Wars today, and ordered the first two seasons off of the net.
I can't wait to watch all of this stuff, and I feel bad that I didn't see it the first time around, because they were not what I felt were "real Transformers."
This got me thinking that a lot of us in the fandom need to give things more of a chance. Just because things are different doesn't mean that they aren't great. The movie is proving that to a lot of us. So I also say to give the new animated series a chance before calling it terrible. I think that a lot of us will be very pleasantly surprised.
If nothing else the brand will continue to grow to a new generation. This show is not our Transformers. It is the new generation of fans Transformers. Heck, my wife loved what we saw at the Hasbro panel, and she doesn't watch G1. And the toys look awesome.
So to all members, keep an open mind. You may be happier for it.
