My friend's husband is a Seaspray fan. I have the toy, but as a character, he's Bleah...

Always loved the toy, but the cartoon representation was take-it-or-leave-it and he wasn't in the comics enough (sadly) to make much of an impression.

Propellers technicly

I think Seaspray's pretty cool, but I was never a huge fan of him. Still, he was the first and for awhile only aquatic Autobot, and his face looks pretty neat. But of course, that's due to the mouthplate, cause a mouthplate makes nearly anyone cool.

Seaspray was kinda lame, he had one of the most annoying voices in G1 (and that's saying something). I'm guessing the reason he wasn't used much is because it's hard to constantly write in bodies of water so he can have something to do.

Seaspray was a victim of too many TF's not enough screen time.

While I'm not much of a Seaspray fan, I feel your pain. I'm a Cosmos fan.

While I remember really liking the toy as a kid (my parents were sort of cheap, I was usually only able to get the smaller ones like the Minibots), I disliked that they made him all...chubby for no apparent reason as a cartoon.
http://seibertron.com/comics/universe/original/?tf_id=seasprayHe doesn't look at all cool like his toy, imo.

I'm not really a fan of Seaspray but the little fecker holds a special place for me because he was the first Transformer I ever got way back in 1984.

Seaspray was my first transformer, when I was only four years old!!! I took him everywhere, didn't even know about transformers then, I just knew he was a robot hovercraft. I only worked out years later that that logo on him meant he was a transformer. My uncle, who had him as a kid, gave him to me as a little gift for some reason & I didn't stop transforming him for about 6 months until I lost him in a car park

As a toy, Seaspray is one of the better Minibots, if only because he's unique. However, he didn't make much of an impression on the show. It would certainly have helped if he had starred in a better episode than "Sea Change."

I'd like to see him appear in the upcoming Universe/Classics 2 line. They could repaint that hovercraft from the Cybertron line.

His voice reminds me of Mer-Man from He-Man. I wonder if it was the same voice actor.

I like Seaspray but I prefer Beach Comber, because he seemed to have an idealistic dreamer personality.

I admit that I didn't like Beachcomber at all until "Golden Lagoon." That episode changed my entire oppinon of him. The last shot of that showed him in deep thought, pulling back to show the devastated forest and one of the Autobots saying: "Hey Beachcomber we won!" to which he replied: "Yeah.... we won alright." moved me even as a child. It showed full well the futility of war and that little hippy Beachcomber will always hold a place in my heart. It goes to show you that one good story is all it takes to change a "lame charector" into a very cool one.
Too bad Seaspray never had one. And his voice was annoying as hell.
