Animal Crossing, Mario 64, Mario Cart... hell, even Transformers! Who else has a DS? What's your favorite game?

For me, it'd have to be Animal Crossing at the moment. So addicting and fun!

Super Mario 64 DS
Mario Kart DS
Nintendogs
Metroid Hunters
NEW Super Mario Bros
Wario Ware Touched
Advanced Wars DS
Starfox Command

And soon, as in the second it hits the shelves:

Legend of Zelda, The Phantom Hour Glass

Animal Crossing Shmanimal Crossing.

Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin are the all you need. New Super Mario Bros won't hurt either.

Three of the reasons I want a DS.

I have a PSP, though, which has an equal number of excellent games. $70 extra, but it's got a lot of different features, like movies and music.

Hell, add a notepad function, and maybe a WiFi-based phone extension, BAM, you have something better than an iPhone.

:-?

Maybe Nintendo could design another DS & GBA cart set that could function as a phone?

And I don't see why they can't release a DS memory card that can hold things dled off of the Wii's firmware connection. Or maybe even purchased from the Wii shop.

The DS is cool, but I'd rather have a Wii.

PSP: custom firmware

I only have one game for my DS Lite so far, and that's Mario Kart DS. So, I guess it's my favorite.

mario kart is my all-time favorite. it's so addicting and fun! i can't beleive i sold it :???:

at the moment, i'm LOVING phantom hourglass, despite the stylus-only controls that are kind of tiresome after a while.

other faves:
ALL castlevania games
ALL phoenix wright games (gotta get the new one!)
new super mario bros. (short, but sweet)
mario 64 (classic)
metroid prime: hunters multiplayer
brain age is fun, if only for the sudoku :P
resident evil (c'mon, nintendo give us more!)
animal crossing was fun for a while, but i got tired of it

I wouldn't bet on it. A lot of Shonen Jump's characters are too obscure to American audiences, especially since cartoons are always seen as "Kid's Stuff" despite shows like Death Note running around.

It's kind of the opposite of Super Smash Bros.. SSB contains mostly well-known characters (Mario, Luigi, Pikachu) with a few characters unknown to America. (Fire Emblem hadn't been released in AMerica until AFTER Roy and Marth were in SSBM, and when SSB was released, F-Zero, and by extension, Captain Falcon, wasn't widely known) While Shonen Jump contains a few well-known characters (Goku) and mostly unknown characters. (Everyone else--I'm looking at YOU, Light Yagami!)

So, since it has such limited appeal (And a lot of the series heavily feature adult content--Again, YOU, Light Yagami!--so it's hard to market to kids), and also that, while SJ holds the rights to their properties in Japan, multiple companies hold them in America (Thus making licensing a bitch), it would be VERY hard to not only bring over, but also Dub properly. (Since FUNimation does a lot of the dubbing, but also other guys like 4Kids and Oceans Group)

In short: No chance. But that doesn't stop us from hoping, does it?

The DS is great, although I haven't played mine in a while. I only have 4 games for it, but I'd have to say my favourite game is Pokemon Diamond (big Pokemon fan), and Transformers. My fiance loves her DS that I got for her last Christmas.

Funny story regarding it. My fiance and I were flying from New Jersey to England, and there was a flub with the tickets, so we had to sit separately. So to talk on the flight we used the Pictochat feature, and also passed the 6 hours by playing Mario Kart DS. The DS is such a nifty little thing to have.

yep, the ds kicks all kinds of ass!
you should really look at getting an m3 simply flash card for it, i got one about a week ago, and my ds now has a personal organizer, a web browser, it can play mp3s, you can watch videos, read books, and play cack loads of homebrew software.
Iv got lemmings, monkey island 1 + 2, day of the tentacle, doom and quake on there
the best part is, you can play quake over wifi

And once again Nintendo kicks Sony's ass.

I'd love for Microsoft and Nintendo to team up and kick that little bitches ass. Send em back to making cameras and tvs like they should.

Well my gf loves Nintendogs, Animal Crossing and the Warioware games. Brain training, Soduku and Meteos are high up there.

Me on the otherhand, well I love Mariokart (who doesn't?) Jump Superstars (even though it is in Japanese), Club House Games and Pokemon Diamond was the best Pokemon game since Gold/Silver.

Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass is just all 32 flavours of Awesomesauce though. I struggle to put the damn thing down.

I loves me this game, it's all in Japanese, but you can get somewhat decent translations of what you have to do on sites like gamefaqs (just stay away from their boards, sheesh). It's like Super Smash Brothers, but on your handheld! Creating your teams is hard though, as you need to research every character and support character, which takes alot of time.

DS is awesome, my best games are:

Hotel Dusk
Zelda phantom hourglass
castlevania dawn of sorrow
New Super mario brothers
Mario kart
Sonic Rush
Pokemon Diamond
phoenix wright (1 and 2)
Super mario 64 DS (was better than i thought it would be)
trauma centre

I have more games but these have been DS defining games for me, i really loved hotel dusk, wasn't to fast paced and a notepad to write clues down is pure genious.

Animal crossing got so boring after a years worth of gameplay and the museum almost full, became pretty tedious (and that stupid mole, wtf is his problem lol. I didn't buy a game to be told when and where i can save!)

as a whole, DS touch screen and mic interaction is just awesome.

Well, I don't come around the video game forum that much but I thought I'd contribute to this thread.

I absolutely love my DS. I currently own more games for my DS than for any other system I own and I own every Nintendo system made thus far (except for Virtual Boy).

As for favorite games, I was hooked on Animal Crossing and Pokemon for quite some time. I also love Mario Kart, Metroid Prime Pinball, and Metroid Prime Hunters. I just got Phantom Hourglass today and I played it for an hour before I could put it down so that's a good sign. I can't wait to try the Wi-Fi game for that one.
