Transforming Armors coming to Age of Armor MMORPG

I don't know about you guys, but I used to play Age of Armor, a mech-based online RPG (I stopped because the beta I was participating in ended).

The team behind the game are Transformers fans, that's for sure. Images of robots who resemble characters like Starscream, Bumblebee, and Jazz are clearly visible in the launcher.

Anyway, read that one of the new features which they are implementing in the game is the ability to transform your mech (Mechs are called 'Armors' in the game), which naturally has me excited!

You can get more information as well as 2 screenshots (a Jeep and a Fighter Jet) by clicking here.

They also got a Galvatron up on what seems to be the regular japanese main page.

Edit: Bleh, after several hours of getting the client, updating the client, and then getting an account for open beta. The open beta has been delayed till the end of august. Crap in a hat.

Is that Galvatron? Looks more like Cyclonus to me.

Oh yeah, no clue what I was thinking at the time.

Although Galvatron, Cyclonus, they're both purple badasses.

The game is the english version of a Chinese MMO, hence the chinese in the pics I posted back there.

The game is currently in beta phase. Right now it's down, and should be until the end of the month.

You can still get an account and the client from http://www.AOAUS.com. I've played the game, and it's pretty much like any other generic free online RPG, only with robots, which makes it substantially more fun. And I'm guessing that it'll be even better with transformations!

Its possible that someone at Hasbro might stumble across this, think it's good and give them the license.

Of course, they make sure we paid for it after that.

Gee, I wonder who this is...

...and here's what I presume is the robot mode. Nice.

Just some news about the transforming Armors. You don't spawn with them, it seems. In the game, you are given a simple mech to start with and upgrade/replace it as you go along. Among the upgrades and Transformation Modules and Transforming Weapons. You get them by doing missions and/or finding them during your travels. You can find out more here.

Not completely true my friend, I thought so too, when I saw the picture of the Character but after I go deeper into the page I find out that this Transformers has an other vehicle mode which is almost identical like the F-15
This is the real vehicle mode of the Robot form.

I think the F-15 look more like G1 Starscream. Well I hope.

Oh, and another Dinobot you might like:

Not only that, but the robot mode I posted last time actually belongs to THIS jet (sorry for the confusion!):

Apparently, there are also 'stronghold' and 'medic center' alts, but no pictures of those yet.

So, yeah, I'm attempting to get AOA running, but the us site is down, and the client keeps getting errors. Huzzah for beta testing.

You sure you have the right client? You need to get the CB2 client. The CB1 client won't work anymore.

Yep, downloaded it from the filefront link last night.

I've uninstalled and am reinstalling the thing again to see if that works.

Good luck. I've spent the last few hours playing it. I participated in the first Closed Beta, but this one feel more like an open beta. Gaah, so many n00bs!

It's pretty generic. Think WoW but not as good/deep and with sci-fi instead of fantasy. Don't start playing it just to 'play a Transformers game,' though, as you need to reach Level 30 or 31 before you can even use the transformable mechs.
