I didnt see it posted so...

Who here got Madden 08

So what do you think.

My 360 gamertag is OSUbreeze. Look for me online.

Personally...

Well I have HDMI for 1080i resolution so Graphics are a 10 of course. Gameplay is like an 8 or 9. Its funny I say that because except for way to many fumbles, (at least according to message boards) and the ease of which CB's return INTS for TD's (first hand) down-by-down its pretty damn good.

The problems I have with it are the following:

Tackling - Maybe I just suck but it seems like even scrubs can break a 1 on 1 full speed tackle. But now that yo can tackle high/low, you have to be careful
Highlight Stick - Any ball carrier can look like reggie bush. the ratings only affect the speed at which you cut and juke, not the ability to do so.
Animations - Sometimes it just seems like the players are gliding, mostly only when using the jukes.

Now the good

INT's - sure if you make a dumb throw the CPU still will make the pick, but at least only the good CB's play like Champ Bailey. In addition, a good play call will still allow you to get yards on a good CB. the players dont have eyes in the backs of their heads anymore.

The Rock - Congrats, you can run the ball again. Then again its pretty hard to get stopped for NO gain.

Superstar Mode - Its still a little rough but I actually like the fact the camera spotlights only you. it makes it feel like to have a responsibility on the field. And now you can sim the game until your player is back on the field.

Passing - Deep passes actually work again. The last time I played in 06 this was practically impossible.

WEAPONS - Makes the game seem more like a chess match

Ever since they bought the license and left 2K Sports without a series, I've stopped caring. That competition used to make both companies push themselves to create good games. Since then Madden is the same game with a new coat of paint and an updated roster.

Madden is complex for new players you have to have been following the game for years to be able to enjoy it. That is one thing I liked about nfl 2k you could pick up play even if you weren't good at sports games.
