Sometimes I go back and play Super Mario World, SNES, not GBA.
I could very well do it as a ROM, but I much prefer playing it in it's orginal format.

From time to time. I don't have a humongous libarary of games, so it's kind of why. Plus since I don't have the huge librarary, it gives me cause to track down old games that I never got to play when I was a kid. And old games are cheap too boot.
Faves include Turtles in Time and Maximum Carnage.
I also enjoy classics collections, even though I only have four: Taito, Mega Man(no X yet), Mario All-Stars, and the Zelda compiolation on Gamecube.
Older games also rock cause there's not a lot of waiting to play cause there are very few cut scenes, and that's nice.

Castlevania.
I still play through all of them on a regular basis; I just beat the original one the other day, and I've been plodding through Simon's Quest off and on for a little while.

I have games like Megaman 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 for my NES, and Megaman X and Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest for my SNES. I'm too lazy to list them all, but I have around 30 old school games.

IN all honesty, there's too many old favorites to count.
Some of my personal favorites nobody has mentioned yet, I think, are the first 4 Dragon Warrior games....especially 4, since it's never been re-released on any platform in the US even though the other 3 had their super famicom versions ported over to the Gameboy color. really bugs me, too, how we were jiped. The company that was translating the PSX version of DW4 droped the video game portion of their company mid-project, never completed it, but yet retained all the rights to the translation, keeping the game in legal limbo.

Super Mario RPG, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Paper Mario, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong 64 are some of my favorites... oh and GEX 64, that game was crazy fun!

I use to play the NES Contra a lot. Now the only old-school game I still go back and play is the Game Boy Tetris. But I did just recently play Breath Of Fire 1 (GBA version).

I wish Simon's Quest was ported to the GBA. It's my favorite of the 8-bit and 16-bit games. Of course, Symphony Of The Night is my all-time favorite.

An Age of Hell will come for a Thousand Damned Years."
