...and it's even better than you think it is. The controls, camera, gameplay, score, and visuals are spectacular. I honestly can not fault this game on anything.
10/10

Mario Galaxy is out already? Oh, ...in Japan. How good is it? Is it "Best Mario Game Ever" good? Or is it "Best Game Ever" Good?
In other words, once I beat it, will I just go back to playing Halo 3? Or will I want to replay it again and again?

Dude, it's Mario, one of the few existing series that deserves multiple playthroughs, even many years later.
...Oh damn, looks like I'll be pulling out the SNES in the morning, and playing through Super Mario World again.
EDIT: Though, to be on topic, it's quite relieving to hear that this is so awesome. I mean, I probably would've gotten this when I get a Wii anyway, but to hear it's so great, that's just awesome.
And, according to Wikipedia, Kamek is a boss! I missed that guy.

Curse you and your infectious habits. I'm going to have to do that too, now.
I can't wait to play
Super Mario Galaxy, either.

Does Luigi appear anywhere? A cameo would be better than nothing....
Haven't seen much on Mario Galaxy, cause I haven't been looking. Sunshine turned out to be a little bit of a letdown, partly because of the lack of classic enemies. Are there Goomba's and Koopa Troopa's throughout?

Oh yes. Many a classic enemy. Galaxy is from the creator of Mario 64, unlike Sunshine.

One thing I learned a long time ago: no matter how quirky or off-the-wall the game may be, if it is made by nintendo, it's gonna be fun. Maybe not memorable, maybe not groundbreaking, but definately fun. That being said, I'm sure this will be an awsome game.

Got it. Best game ever. If you haven't got it, it's hard to describe, it's a 3D game, that almost plays like a classic Mario side scroller, but still all in complete 3D. Plus it has your typical Mario run around levels plus the puzzle levels, but the puzzle levels that require the remote movement are phenomenal. Theres one leve where you have to guide Mario on a ball around an obstacle course with holes in the ground, it is actually like that old board game where you have to guide the little marble through a course without having it fall through a hole...all with a WiiMote! This game is awesome. Best game I bought in over 10 years.

My bro picked it up last week. I traded Zelda with him for a couple days so I could give it a run down.
All I can say is 2 things #1. the best Mario game ever, and #2. hands down best game on the Wii! I have to admit I rolled my eyes when "galaxy" was put on the end of Super Mario. I thought we were getting another "sunshine" and not a sequel to Super Mario 64. I acctually got the "super mario sunshine bundle" with my gamecube, which included the Gamecube, a standard memory card, and Mario Sunshine for $199 (gamecube was $149 at the time, so I basically got a free memory card). Other than the mind blowing graphics at the time, Super Mario Sunshine sucked. IT was so hard it wasn't fun, and the backpack idea was stupid. It also completly lost the "mario" feel to it since the original bad guys had very limited appearences and the water backpack gave it more of a "save the envorionment" theme than a mario theme. It was the "super Mario Bros 2." of the modern era. Yeah its got Mario in it, but its not really a mario game.
So thats why I was dissapointed when the announced Mario Galaxy. I really figured it was going to be the same thing. Well I"m glad to say I was wrong. It does bring the Super Mario 64 feeling back, and it does it really well! Hopping from planet to planet and flying to galaxies is awesome. Also gotta love the weird stuff thrown in like the Ray Surfing, and Golf course levels. I had a hard time putting the game down, but finally decided to stop playing since supposively someone's buying it for me for christmas. Figure I'd save the rest for when I own it. I currently have 20 stars and have fought Bowser once.

No you're not.
Mario Galaxy is better, but only by a little. Get Metroid next.
Oh, and Mario Galaxy is badass.

Don't knock MP3 just yet. It's a worthwhile purchase.
AS for Mario Galaxy, you really can't understand this game until you've played it. Words don't due the gravity-warping planet hopping gameplay justice.

I just got this game, and I'v only played it for about 30mins so far, but I am really not convinced yet. Everyone else seems to love it, am I just missing something?
I am going to end up playing this for hours just so I can find all those stars aint I?

Well, it's a brilliant game, but it doesn't seem to have as much of a story as sunshine.
Sure, it's great fun to play, but sunshine had more story to it, and I feel it was better executed. So for now I'm gonna continue playing metroid Prime 3.

^Story? Good point, but honestly, you don't play Mario for the story(save for the RPG games).
Got the game for Christmas, as well as the Wii(and RE4, Zelda TP, Metroid Prime 3), so my Wii library is pretty good right now. I've been switching between Galaxy and RE4, and I must say, Galaxy is pretty cool. Lots of classic enemies like stated earlier(Torpedo Ted makes his triumphant return!), but it's been pretty easy so far. I haven't seen a lot of powerups yet either, but I only have like 40 Stars, so I'm sure more'll pop-up in later levels. Nifty game thus far, but I can't say it's "classic" until I finish it up. The one Bowser fight I've done so far already exceeds the one in Sunshine. Bowser in a hot-tub, what was Nintendo thinking??
