Need some Halo 3 Help

So I am playing the matchmaking multiplayer thing, when over the game, someone else starts cussing up a storm, saying f**k at least 10 times, saying bitch, damn, bastard, and just about every cuss you can think off, including the "n" and "c" word. I know there is the usual click on their tag and mute them, but is there anyway to disable the talking thing totally/perminantly for everyone?

i am so shook up from that, I havent played since...

(I didn't mean AT ALL to offend anyone saying (and censoring) these words. If you do, tell me and I will remove them)

um you can mute the players but pushing down on the right toggle then highlighting the person then push X to mute them

Best off just muting them in the lobby if you want to be Mr. Anti-social

Only people I mute are the kids and the screamers.

If you just want to mute 1 player, you can highlight their name and press mute. Or you can press start, press right on the d-pad, and then down to voice communication. Here you have a few other options. You can mute everyone or just be able to hear your teammates.

BTW, you should also go to their gamer card and leave feedback and file a report. You make them an avoided person so you'll never play with them again. I, and everyone else should, always leave feedback, good or bad. Some people deserve to be banned b/c they can't play with others. Just check my file share page on Halo 3. You'll find 1 shining example.

Don't let one experience ruin your online play. I hate playing with people who don't talk. Don't be someone I hate.

Seriously? Is this your first time dealing with any sort of Halo online multiplay?

Heres what I do. Get real good, start stomping the hell out of them. They'll scream, cuss, cry, then quit. It's really satisfying knowing that you made someone quit a match no matter how much they screamed.

Other than that, follow the advice already given.

Not to mention that sniping one of them in High Ground for 8 kills is insanely hilarious for you as well.

Oh the fun I've had.

They KNEW there was no way to stop people from swearing, so hey put that little amendment onto the rating for every game with online play.

Well, you could always just turn the microphone sound off.

Or tell them to STFU. Works for me.

If I do mute them, does that mute them pemanantly? Like, if I do that, then they are in another game, do I have to mute them again?

And how the heck am I anti social when someone blurts out f**k at least 10 times, saying bitch, damn, bastard, and just about every cuss you can think off, including the "n" and "c" word and don't want that to happen again?

BTW, it was my teamate that said these things. So if I kill him, I get booted.

Go to his name in live and give him bad feedback. You'll never ever play in a game with him again.

The thing is, this happened almost 48 hour ago. I REALLY don't remember who he was nor did I ever know, since it was just a random voice.

Then don't worry about it. There is an average of 100,000 people playing Team Slayer alone every day. The chances of you meeting up with him again are slim to nill.

Yeah, I guess you're right.
