I found this at a Target store today, and I picked it up for $17.99, same as online. I've not gotten around to busting it open yet, but I'll probably do so tomorrow. First I have to dig up three AAA batteries.

Here are some pics in the meantime, though...

I was under the impression that the Game&Watch died years ago.

I finally got around to trying the game, and it's pretty bad.

First of all, the contrast is terrible, so it's hard to even see the action.

The first stage is a top-down driving game where you're driving through city streets looking for four protoform pods. When you find them, they transform into generic Autobots. Once you find all four, there's a one-on-one battle with Barricade. As you might imagine, there's no technique to the fight.

The second stage is a side-scrolling platformer style level. I got a little ways into it and reached a high wall that I couldn't jump over. After about 30 seconds of making failed jumps, I turned the game off.

There are five levels total, but I doubt I'll ever see them. What I played was sluggish and dull. The awful d-pad didn't help matters either.

Like Bumblebee-otch said, stick to the Transformers DS games...they're both quite good.

That's not surprising.

When a game is New at $18, that's what you should expect. $18 is par for th course in terms of USED games.

Even then, if you paid $18 for a Game&Watch gallery, you have been ripped off. And even if I'm wrong, there's no way it can even be past Gameboy Classic graphics. And if you're paying $18 for a Gameboy Classic, you are, again, being ripped off. (You could get an original GBA for that kind of money, or at least a GBC)

This game reminds me of an Etch-A-Sketch.

To be fair, Nintendo's Game & Watch Gallery collections for the GB and GBA are worth $18 (especially G&W Gallery 4).

There are also plenty of original GB games worth that much money (Link's Awakening, the Mario Land series, Metroid II, Mario's Picross, Mole Mania, etc.).

I got the PSP version, which doesn't need leveling up, and you can play as both sides for $30, where the other game you have to pay $60 to play as both sides.

A little overpriced. LCD handhelds should never break $10 IMO. This is a nifty little game for a collectible though. I might get it just for that.
