And this isn't the one that was announced earlier this year. That one was canned due to copyright issues. This new one is with all thsoe legal hurdles cleared. Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, and Bill Murray have been confirmed to reprise their roles, via motion capture and voice acting. Akroyd and Ramis will also be making the script. Whether or not Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Rick Morranis will return is yet to be known. One place said Hudson and Potts would be back but I'll take that with a grain of salt currently.

The setting is after the movies, in the 1990's. So no flashforward to the 21st century.

You'll have upgradable proton packs with different powerups. Nothing storywise has been revealed. Most likely this game will support multi-player functions. Game Informer should have more information regarding it in their upcomming issue.

While not confirmed, I don't see why Slimer would not appear.

No news on whether or not a certain 100 ft Marshmallow Man will appear. But it wouldn't be a Ghostbusters game without some climactic fight against him. The image of the fight with said Marshmallow Man was from the other game that was canned.

I read in Empire Magazine that Hudson and Potts have signed on and apparently so has William Atherton (Walter Peck). I haven't heard anything about Moranis.

Yeah, point and shoot with the Wiimote, throw Traps with the other.

Perhaps the Proton Pack could function sort of like a Half-Life 2's Gravity gun, not really doing damage (At least, not to ghosts), and moving things around. That does seem like it's primary use in the movies. (Except against Gozer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man)

And I had another idea, one that I thought would be perfect. But I can't remember what it was.

And, dude, if this doesn't have Four Person Multiplayer, where you can play as the while gang, I will hurt someone. Perhaps John Romero, I've been meaning to pay him back for Daikatana.

As much as I love the Ghostbusters. And as good as this game looks. I really hope the game isn't just the first movie all over again.

It's been 23 friggin' years. I want some new Ghostbuster story.

Even something like the Marvel Animated Strait-to-DVD movies would be nice. Actually, that's not a bad idea. They should do that.

No, the site WhiteRabbit posted said it would be a new feature, penned by the "original creators," which probably means Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. And I don't know how much experience they have with games, so I hope they've also got someone from "The Inside" working with them.

Also, according to Wikipedia, Dan Aykroyd said that Ghostbusters 3 IS the game. So that's pretty good.

Walter "Dickless" Peck is in the game. That is good. It would be awesome if he were a boss or something, you know, in a pre-boss-fight cutscene, he turns into some gigantic demon thing.

That would be cool.

Greek Monsters, SOLDIER Cannon Fodder, and Xenomorphs, to be precise.

That's God of War: Chains of Olympus, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, and Alien vs. Predator for those who were wondering.

Crisis Core is actually a prequel, mostly about Zack and the event preceding the Nibelheim Incident. The full remake of FF7 is only a rumor at this point.

Alien vs. Predator I don't know about. It appears to play like Predator: Concrete Jungle, but, as much as I wanted that one, I never got a chance to pick it up. It does look quite cool, though.
