I Swear

so I'm playing capture the flag trying to get my rank up (I'm talking about Halo 3) It was the last round the other team was beating us by a point. I got the flag and made it more than half way back to our base when one of my teammates shot me and he did it on purpose too because he kept hitting me when we were defending our flag. So my rank goes from a 7 to a 6 and I was only one point away from getting a rank. I swear there's people always causing trouble online.

I don't think it matters. First off: In Halo, you don't get anything for getting a higher rank other than bragging rights and being told you did a "Good job."

Second: There's always going to be someone team killing you. So you shoot one-up them. Camp somewhere, and when they come by, go Sam Fisher on his ass, jump down behind him, then smack him in the back of the goddamn head. That will kill him. I assume there's also an achievement for Revenge Team Killing, and if there isn't, then Bungie needs to get to work.

Report him in the dashboard commands. It's there for a reason.

I'm talking in general there's always someone ruining it online. And I need a high rank so people know I don't suck at Halo 3 (since it's one of the few games I'm good at  ).

I'm a level 26 in Team Slayer and have never had a single person do that. So you're either really unlucky or you're blowing it out of proportion.

IIRC that happened to me once, & after the second or third time the game actually asked if I wanted to boot the guy from the game(caught me off guard, so I didn't). I think if you don't do it too much, though, the game just assumes it's an accidental kill, wether it is or not. But yeah...if a guy's being a douche, report him....put a mark against his rep....that's what it's there for.

My roommate does that whenever we play online. Just for shits and kicks. I guess he doesn't understand that his performance reflects on me and makes me look bad.

He also seems to fail to understand that I could beat him with ease 8)

Dude crap like that happens to me all the time, I don't even really like playing anymore (and havn't for like 2.5 weeks) unless it's with some people on my friends list. Otherwise I just lonewolf it. And if you gripe about it people are like oh it's just a game, well yeah it's just a game a game that I paid for and I want to play with out people being @$$holes.

You need to get Call of Duty 4 Cycrolus. I've been on your friend list for about 3 months and I've seen you on like twice. At least in that game you can just leave a match mid play if someone is being annoying without consequence.

Some dick on Halo 1 pc tried to do that to me all match.

Sadly the noob didn't seem to understand that friendly fire was on- he couldn't hurt me or our team.

So every time he stickied me, I ran at him :P

He got about 25 'suicides' that match.

Man.....here I was looking at my e-mail hoping someone left an intelligent response to a thread that I might be able to respond to myself, only to find that the only response I had to any thread was nothing but a bunch of smileys. Thanks a lot.

.....just messing with ya, I really don't care......

Seriously, though....don't spam. ;)

Dude, the next time you see him in a game, grab a Spartan Laser, and go shoop da whoop on his ass.

Some douche on Halo 3, well he was in a team slayer match I was playing with him, I was on his side, got in a fit, charging into do battle with about 3 other players. So I threw a plasma grenade, it blew the **** outta all 4 of them. (I swear, my intentions weren't to kill my team member)So I am innevitably sniped in the back of the head, die, and respawn with the dude I accidentally killed. He sees me, and starts going ape ****. He starts shooting at me, so I run out of the area, thinking I lost him.

So I go along fighting my opponents, when suddenly a Warthog appears flying outta the air and running me over like goddamn roadkill. I respawn, then he (I guess) dies, for he respawned right next to me. He again goes crazy, shooting me with the assault rifle until I die.

Honestly, wtf is wrong with people?

So then I get the message asking if I want to get him outta the game. I say yes, and he is shunned outta the game.

Which is why Call of Duty 4 is superior to Halo 3 in practically every way. No team killing (unless you play in a hardcore gametype). No mad rush for a weapon on the map because you pick your own before it starts. Respawn when you want instead of waiting 6 seconds or more. AND NO FREAKING PENALTY FOR LEAVING A GAME EARLY! Wanna know why? Because the servers are smart enough to match up another person who is looking for a game after you leave. You don't get crippled because you always have a new person coming into the game if someone leaves. I honestly can't stand to play that debacle of a game after giving COD4 a go.

Honestly, I'd hate to be that guy that gets thrown into a game about 2 min before the game's over, only to find out that you'ld either be stuck back in matchmaking again or have to do another partial game. Keep in mind, I haven't played COD4, but I have played other games that send in players when others quit, & personally would rather play full-length games every time, but that's just me.

Keep in mind that even if that happens, after that match ends, you start the next one from the beginning with the same people. So in the end it really doesn't matter. Especially when you pop into the match and destroy the other team.

Eh, I guess. Personally, though, I think I'll stick to Halo myself.
