That freaking Black Friday crap has somehow managed to completely suck every copy off of the shelves in a single day. I just completed the second one and wanted to start in on the third....No can do. Every single copy that has the wireless controller is sold out around here. 4 Wal-Marts, 3 Targets, 2 Radio Shacks, 1 TRU and a partridge and a pear tree are sold out. And no one knows when they'll get more in.

So why in the Hell was that one of the must have items last Friday? I don't understand that. Most stores didn't have it at a sale price and before Friday, the game just sat there for a month with moderate sales. I'm so confused and angry by this.

My thoughts would be that parents saw it as a cheaper alterative to Rock Band. I think I'll wait for the price to drop on GH3. There are too many games out that I want now, but not enough money.

If you have the cash pick up Rock Band.

I got Guitar Hero 3 about a Week and a half ago. I like the game with the exception of the boss battles.

Having said that.... I played Rock Band at a friends house for a few hours.... It blew me away. As soon as I get the cash together I think GH3 is gonna get shelved for Rock Band.

I don't have other folks to play it with.

I think the main reason for that is that all the GH3 bundles are clogging up the shelves over here now that it was released last friday, and the price disparity is ridiculous.

Game, the largest games retailer here is selling EVERY version of the game with the guitar for €110($160). HMV are selling the X360 and PS3 bundles for €90($131), the Wii version for €80($116) and aren't stocking the ps2 bundle(although you can pick up GH3 on its own and the GH2 bundle for €105).

Strange, you can't go anywhere here without walking into either set. I wouldn't think they would be tough to find anywhere, especially because of the higher price.

Can't wait to pick up GH3 though.

hmmm. we have plenty of them at work, just no rock band

we have a whole bunch of both down here (GH3 & RB)

Not so, it'd be like a $20 difference and Rock Band would have been the better deal with several instruments over the one.

GH3 is great though. If anyone has X-Box Live, I'll be running a competition on it ladder-style on [url]sonicarmy.com[/url] within a few days once details get nailed down.

Dude every store in my area is out of both GH3 and Rock Band. There are even waiting lists for the next shipment.

I found a few up at my Best Buy earlier this week. They're probably gone by now. And my brother just lsited one the other day, havign waited until 2-week in to give my parents a list of stuff he wanted. Yeah it's a popular game but I think videogames are cashing in big this year with all the lead stuff being found in various toys. I'm not that interested in having such a game. If my brother wants it so bad he can get a pt job and stop being lazy, he wants an Xbox 360 too but I've warned my dad about the little red light issue that shouldn't be happening at all.

Just went to the stores today and i was able to find Rock Band (to bad i only have $115) and i also found out that Gamestop as been getting a few in every week but they always sell out that day. If you cant find one by next week you wont be able to get one until after christmas. unless redoctane decides to ship a **** load out in the coming weeks. Good luck to all who are looking for GH3. We're going to need all the luck we can get.

Dude there's a ton around my area, they are gone for a bit and then BAM! there's more, looks like MO is getting all of them LOL. I really freaking want Rock Band, I liked GH but I'd much rather do drums or vocals.

Being that this was the earliest Guitar Hero 3 thread, & I thought it'd be better to keep this one going than start a new thread, but I had just got the game today for christmas, & when I was browsing through the downloadables, not only did they have a couple of freebies, namely a guitar'd redention of We Three Kings, but I noticed that lately(I'm assuming in the last couple of days, but I could be wrong), they added a couple new track packs, one of which was a Warner label pack that among it had Pretty Handsome Akward, which some of you might remember from the Transformers movie (the music that was playing during the Bumblebee/Barricade car chase scene, for those of you that haven't heard the soundtrack). I thought that was a pretty cool addition, & worth mentioning since afterall, this is a TF site.

It's been hard to find GH3 on any system period where I live. My sister and I had to order through a copy (game and guitar wanted to have 2 player) for PS2 and it's meant to be coming this week and I order it nearly a month ago.

My opinion about the game not available where I live is that there are the trashy feral people are buying em all who think they are cool cause they own it jumping on the bandwagon. So lame.
