Alright I was laying on my couch watching TV and saw an Ad for a video game. As usual they start as a Rated blank for blank. Then swabam those high pitched annoying voices of the chipmunks. OMFG a comedy based Game that appears to be you play a gutair hero like game only with the chipmunks as the Hard Core dead metal rockers. What the F*CK. was my first reaction. Then I noticed this is a growing trend. EX. Spongebob games, rattuile, Alvin and the chipmunks some are good others worse. Yay or nay for this growing trend.

Personally NAY

I am sick to death of movie tie in games.
They're always rushed, and always lack in quality. (except for the rare few)

Movie based games have been around almost since the begining of video-gaming(I think Star Wars Arcade may have been the first in 1980). They are a part of the industry, and will always be here, like it or not, until they stop making movies.

But there is really no excuse for a poor game tie-in though, as those are some of the worst video-games out there.

I think we can blame the Atari 2600's E.T. for being the first truly awful movie game.

Star Wars arcade, on the other hand, was amazing!

What about the Spider Man games. They were fun, but oh so cheesy.

A few gems slip through now and then. The Chronicles of Riddick comes to mind. While not really a tie in, it captured the feel well. I do agree that most are some of the worst games ever made.
