The King is Back, Baby!

I can't even describe how awesome this is. Now I can pay strippers to show me their personal areas in hi-def!

Ooh excellent news. My friends and I had great fun on multiplayer Duke3D. It will be awesome to relive those old memories on a brand spanking new engine. "Come get some! You bottom-feeding, scum-sucking, allergy-eater!"

Did anyone else enjoy the TPS Duke games? Time to Kill and Land of the Babes?

I freaking played TTK until the disc got so scratched it wouldn't work. Great game. "Here piggy, piggy."

Oh yeah.....Hail to the king, baby!!!

downloading the video now.....

I so hope this actually happens. It's been so long since I 've played through a Nukem game. & Yeah Time to kill was awsome. Particularly liked the Delorean up on blocks in the mineshaft level. Oh yeah, the Mideval level was pretty cool, too.

"Little pig, little pig, let me in....or I'll huff & I'll puff & I'll kick your ass in!!!"

BTW, did they ever have a unique DN game engine? I mean, IIRC, 3d was a modified Doom engine....possibly Doom 64, though.....TTK (& maybe Land of the Babes...I never played it) was Tomb Raider....I believe Zero Hour was a modified (& 3rd person) 007 Goldeneye.

Finished downloading.....damn.....if the game's as awsome as that miniute clip.....damn...we got an awsome game on our hands. Bring on the quotable Duke-isms!!! More....more I say!!!

I'm gonna have to go find my Duke action figure now.....

I found the cut-scene of Duke to be the least impressive portion of the vid. But that's a good thing because the graphics looked very close to "WOWZERS!" level. Here's hoping this time the game finally sees the light of day. And next up, let's hope for shadow warrior II on the DNF engine. :D

You know one thing about it, though...if they don't make this game up to people's elevated expectations due to the amount of time it's taken to make it, the critics are gonna tear Duke a new hole.....& let's face it, despite the fact that most people tend to think for themselves as to wether a game is good or not, if every "reliable" source says it's a subpar-bad game, it probably won't sell well, & be seen a failure.

Then again, considering the good reviews Prey, another 3d Realms game, got, I see no reason why Duke wouldn't get the praise he deserves.
