Net Jet problems??

Well, I for some reason decided to get one of those Net Jet controllers so I could play that Transformers Battle Universe game, & ever since I got it, whenever I plug it in, it automatically starts to load up the website, as it's supposed to...& after about 30 sec to a minute of connecting it says "server too busy, try again in a few minutes," but when I do, it just says it again. I've been trying since last night & keep getting the same response. I sent an email to Hasbro's customer support, but being the weekend before Christmas, I doubt I'll get a response before next Wednesday. has anyone else that might have possibly got a Net Jet had any problems logging on to their servers before? It just seems kind of a bum deal that they spend all this time & effort to make this whole gaming...thing....& it dosen't even work.

I had to look this up on Wikipedia, because it's so far off my radar it's not even on the same planet.

Just...no. It's not worth anyone's time. If you need an internet connection for a game system to work, then it's something to steer clear of.

EDIT: And I just realized what I said basically called out the PSP. At least the PSP is GOOD at what it does. How about THAT, Hasbro?

Try that. It might work for troubleshooting. There's also a PDF version.

Actually that is from the instruction book that came with it...it dosen't say anything, really....just if you have any problems contact customer service. I've been skowering the net trying to find anything about it, but aside from online stores that are selling it all I have found so far are a couple of articles saying it's a neat idea coming from a toy company, & one other incident of another person who bought one that was having the same problems I am.

I've actually seen a couple of demos & such of net jet games, & considering what it is, they're not half bad....more or less a step above web games, & one of them was even a Marble Blast game....pretty much looked like the 360 live arcade Marble Blast just with dumbed-down graphics. Provided that it'd work...you pretty much get what you'ld pay for it...a controller, a couple of cheap arcade games, & Transformers.

Could just be what it says. The server's too busy.

If that's the case, then obviously it won't connect and it's not a problem on your end.

Yeah, it's just that it's been doing it every time I try to connect, even if it's the wee hours of the night. I'm honestly thinking they might be having some server problems, but being the Christmas weekend & all nobody's there to do anything about it, let alone let you know what the problem is.

I've had exactly the same problems you've been having, except I've been living with this problem for about 3 weeks now... And so are these people:
http://nz.answers.yahoo.com/question/in ... 539AA8SNUG http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/ ... 137/?biz=1

I've yet to actually play any of the 3 NetJet Games I own. As it's always either "Server Too Busy" or "Connect The Controller/GameKey" even when it is connected. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've been getting. I did notice this from your first link:

I just got off the phone w/Hasbro (Dec. 26th 1:08 pm EST) and they've explained that they didn't realize that so many people would be logging on (didn't think many people would buy this???) at the same time and that they're currently adding more room to their servers. I was told to call back Friday if I'm still experiencing this problem.

In light of that, I'll just keep trying to log on whenever I can for the rest of the week....see what happens.

Oh my GOSH! Yes...I thought it was my connection or something. It just keeps saying server is busy and I've also tried at 2am, just to see if maybe it was a lot of people trying at the same time during the day, but still nothing. I'm planning to return this (and the 2 game keys we bought for it) next Monday if there is still no change by then. How very annoying and dissappointing for my son.

Has anyone had luck or have heard of Hasbro upgrading the website?
My kids are going crazy! :???:

Any suggestions on what we can do if it isn't fixed?
Thanks

I've still been trying, but to no avail. Best thing I can say from what I can figure is either hang onto it & keep trying & call the number on the controller (1-888-8-NETJET) to see what they say, count it as a loss & consider it a lesson in buying games from a toy company as opposed to a video game company, or take it back to the store & exchange it for Wii or Microsoft points cards. Now those have some good quailty downloadable games: Super Mario bros , Geometry Wars, Pac-man Championship Edition, Zelda......

......of course me, i'll keep trying, because I want to play that Transformer game dammit. I mean, masterpiece Starscream as a playable character!! Even if the game sucks, It'd still be worth it for a once-through.
