You mean Crisis Core right? Not the original FF7?

I have mixed feelings about it. I really don't like the way the FF7 franchise is going. Advent Children was alright to a point, Dirge of Cerberus was a disappointment to me, I really don't know what to expect from this. I am liking the increased exposure for the Turks, but it all remains to be seen.

Wait and see I guess.

Everyone seems to like it. It's getting very good reviews at GameFAQs. So I'll probably be getting that pretty damn quick.

I'm anticipating this game. It wa sone of the reasons I got a PSP and there seems to be more and more reasons now, to get one.

I like how they nicely made it fit in with the original game, such as some of the blacked out parts of the Nimbleheim flashback and they helped emphasize that Aeris was meant for Zack and not Cloud and even showed us more of pre-Nimbelheim Sephiroth, that despite being cold and arrogant, he wasn't a bad guy beforehand. I've heard the DOC special ending is tied in very late in the game. Everything seems to point to 2 more FF7 games (a FF7 remake and DoC sequel but I imagine we'd see the DoC sequel and remakes of FFV and VI before a VII remake)

I'll be getting this in March, but I need to finish Jeanne D'Arc and Final Fantasy first.

I know it's not quite the same, but you know they re-released V and VI on the GBA, right?

Yes I'm aware. I actually have VI. But they also rereleased IV on GBA beforeheand too. Still I think the FFIV remake has some people taking about the possibilities of remaking FFV and VI.

are there any special features that the psp ver will have? i own the original for the PSX(ya thats right PSX not PS1) so if its gonna be a straight port as much as i love it i wont get it unless they add some awsome things to it.

This isn't a re-release of FFVII. it's it's prequel which leads up to FFVII. Ther'e been no announcement of a re-release or remake of the oriignal FFVII game.

It's neither. We're talking about Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, which is a prequel to FF7, following Zack, and giving closure to exactly what happened, during, before, and slightly after the Nibelheim Incident. It's also a hack-and-slash RPG, so I assume it's somewhat like Kingdom Hearts.

And it's apparently the best spin-off of FF7 yet. Which is good, because I actually really liked Dirge of Cerberus.

I kind of wonder how far they'll take this, though. I'd like to see a Compilation of FF8, because I actually liked FF8 and it's characters a lot more. Though I don't know how they'd do it, because the pretty much tied everything up in FF8. (Unlike FF7, where they didn't even say if anyone but Red XIII survived) Although a sort of "GARDEN Reunion Tour" thing would be nice.

The way Square-Enix bleeds FF now, I'm sure we'll be seeing quite a few more remakes. Think of them as the video game version of repaints. I have four different versions of FFVI, yet I will buy another one if they put another out.

I really hope Crisis Core turns out well. I've never gotten used to analog stick on the psp, and this will give me a good reason to stop playing Disgaea for a few weeks.

Now an FF8 Compilaiton I would like to see. However Seifer seems to be the only character that would have a story worth telling. He F-ed up big time and now probably the whole world is ticked at him. He needs a story where he finally begins on the road to wising up and atoning for his mistakes.

Laguna's story would also be a decent one but make the fight with Adel more epic than just Laguna pushes her into the trap to seal her away. It'd help confirm the fan suspicions on Squall and Laguna's relationship, given there's only a couple of clues given in disc 3.

Squall really doesn't have much a story left. It was told, he did his role, got the girl, and found happiness in the end, despite a close brush with death.

I also would not mind seeing a new villain wielding two gunblades.
