MASS Effect=Awesome
Please tell me Star Wars isn't the first thing you think of when you hear NASA? Space okay, but NASA?
It will be about being an astronaut. It will be about going into space realistically.
Like, no light speed or hyperspace, no gravity on board ships that don't rotate, no sound in space, and certainly no aliens or other planets.
For instance, did you know there's no up or down in space? There's no gravity so there's no direction of up or down. Up is whatever you see when you tilt your head in that direction, and down is whatever you see beyond your feet in that direction.
What do liquids do in space? They either collect into one big ball or lots of little balls.
You will not freeze when you go into space without a suit. You can, in fact, survive a brief period in vacuum. The human blood vessels are actually able to contain your boiling blood (which isn't actually boiling just moving as if it was because there's no pressure upon it). If you are in view of the sun when you go into space, you will get a horrible sunburn in a matter of moments. Only if you're in shadow away from it will you freeze.
And last but not least, NEVER hold your breath in space. Your lungs will either explode or all the air will rush out at once, destroying your throat. Anytime you see something where someone holds their breath in space (Cowboy Bebop and Hitchhiker's Guide spring readily to mind), it's
wrong. Why? Because the human body is actually used to a hell of a lot of pressure. 1 atmosphere of solid air pressure to be exact. How many tons of air is that? How much pressure would that be? Imagine all that pressure in your fragile little human lungs, without the same amount of pressure outside them. POW!!!!
Instead, let all your breath out, and go out into vacuum with nothing in your lungs. You can survive only so long like that. Then, long before you die of other things, you will black out. Then, still long before you die, your brain will begin to lose oxygen and become more and more damaged. If they manage to retrieve your body before the radiation from the sun fries you, and they revive you, you'll be severely retarded from the brain damage.
Those are just a few things you might be able to expect in this game.
