Is this game, Marvel vs Capcom 2 really hard to find? I mean I can't seem to find it anywhere, gamestop, ebgames, etc.

Yeah. I assume you mean the PS2 port

Ebay might be your best choice, unless you get lucky and find it in a used store. some of the smaller independent ones sometimes have a few treasures.

Got mine for the Xbox on ebay. Cost me about $42 before shipping. That is one of the rarest games released on the Xbox.

I still look for Silent Bomber and IQ for the PSX whenever I go to new little game shops. Games are so freaking rare.

Yes it's rare, no it's not worth buying if you're a serious Marvel Player.

The game has a bunch of odd programing glitches which really alter the game for those who are apt at it.

For example, Magneto's standing jab goes over a standing or dashing Strider. Also, numerous combos that should work, don't.

I'm not a Marvel-head, so I don't know all of it. Serious Marvel Players shun that version like the plague though.

Dreamcast version is your best bet...kind of.

I'm glad got the DC version many years ago. Awsome game, even if it's more of a flashy rather than technical fighter.

Might I also add that I maxed out the time and exp. bar in the game, and unlocked EVERYTHING. Not a hard task, but a time consuming one.

the local gamestop here has at least 10 copies for Xbox, they are all used and sell for 69.99

I sold my ps2 version in 06 for about 100 on ebay

I got a used copy of PS2 MVC 2 at a pawn shop back in Dec for 10 bucks

Seen the Playstation version at a gamestop once. Did'nt want to pay the 79.00 for it though. Only time i've ever seen it!

The PS2 MvC2 was a blue disc and riddled with errors because of it. The corrupted autosave is almost a deal breaker. If you could locate one it likely has scratches to.

I won mine in a bet involving Dan, a perfect, and a competent Akuma player.

I don't think I could pull it off now though, and the PS2 version has a lot of problems anyway.

But between licensing and SF4 (Sagat is back!) I don't see them revisiting the addictive format of that vs series.

If my PS2 ever dies I might part with mine, but my systems are pretty long living (functioning NES from 85-05.. R.I.P.)

yeah I hear thats a very rare game. I rented it when I had my Sega Dreamcast. I loved it. I ended up unlocking ever character and playing though the whole game before I returned it! Its one of the most unique fighters out there. I love the perfectly cell shaded graphics too, looks straight out of a comic book! It honestly thought it might have been the best game on Dreamcast, and I'd definitly like to pick up a port if I could fine one. I have a Wii, Xbox, and PS2 so I could pick up a port for either one if I could fine one.

Yeah it is rare, it's production run was pretty short on the PS2.

Man, I love that game - it great for when friends come over cause everyone has their 1337 team.

It's a shame Capcom lost the Marvel license...

I had Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Silent Bomber for the PS1 and 2. I sold both a little while ago. I saw MvC 2 in Gamestop for $74.99 it was either that or Super smash Bros Brawl. No contest really.

It's rare but I don't know if the PS2 version is worth the money though cause I had problems with mine as well. I heard the DC version is nice though.

Whoa! A used PS2 game going for $80? That's not a common occurrence.
