So I'm stuck on COD4

The part where you need to travel with McMillan,and he says to take out the sniper on the fire escape. I do that, and I get killed over and over. Is there something I am missing?
Just for more clariffication, it's the part where after you snipe him, 3 dogs, 1 helicopter, and a whole bunch of guys just come out and totally rape your ass.

Is it the mission All Ghillied Up?
You have to make sure you don't get spoted and get head shots,and the part where you see the dog don't attack it just run past.

I have no idea what it's called man, I just got it yesterday. If I take any headshots they come after me, and the same thing happends.

Shoot the sniper in the head with the suppressed sniper rifle, make sure you hit, and he will die. If you're killing him in one shot, then you won't be attacked by anything as a result.
If you mean the part after you shoot Zakhaev, then you kill the chopper pilot, and just shoot the dogs with your AK.
